Update I went back... Visit 2: When I came in it appeared to be shift change. There were more employees than customers on the front line and in the dining room. It appeared even a manager (important) was doing an interview in the dining room. There were 3 tables occupied and interview taking place. EVERY other table was filthy like day shift didn't bother cleaning anything. I mentioned it to my cashier who simply told the lady just starting her shift. I felt bad. I've done day/night shift work in a restaurant before and understand the struggle. The nice lady came and apologized, asked me to pick a table and cleaned it. Then started on the rest of the dining room. Day shift clearly did none of the dining room duties and turn simply turned Arlene into a maid. My food order came out wrong and I had to send it back and I didn't get the drink when I ordered either. Then they left the table marker and she had to take that too. That location wasn't busy at all and was a hot mess. Employees were all over the place but nobody could clean? This was the most anti-chickfila I have ever experienced. Sorry but it was more like a McDonald's. THANK GOODNESS FOR ARLENE! GIVE THAT WOMAN A RAISE! Visit 1: Not a great experience. They didn't give me my drink when I ordered, had to ask ask for it when they gave me my order and they seemed confused even though it had had a name tag on it. The bag was separated as it usually is for the wrap I ordered and the hot food. I didn't even think anything of it but got back to work and they left out the fries. I called to complain and they said they would add it back to my app, even took my info. Nothing happened. The wrap was about half the size it is compared to other locations. I travel across the country and enjoy Chick-fil-A regularly. Compared to all the other locations which have a unified customer and product experience.... This missed the mark! I...
Read morePOTENTIAL CHILD LABOR WARNING
I saw what looked to be two very young, small children working very hard during a peak busy hour at this location--being nearly trampled on by the rest of the workers there. I was told these were the owner's kids. I am not opposed to children watching their parents work, learning responsibility, etc.--but something about this situation really made me wonder if this was for the benefit of the children--or more for the benefit of the owner.
These kids weren't learning how to milk cows or collect eggs (small chores kids can handle)--they were grinding out a sweaty, hard shift at a fast food restaurant.
When I approached the owner about this, he was immediately defensive: "I know the law; I know my rights. These are my kids and no one can tell me what to do with them."
Regarding his first comment: "I know the law" If this is a franchise--then this business cannot use the "family business exemption": workers must be 14 years old or older. Those kids I saw were not that age.
Regarding his second comment: "These are my kids and no one can tell me what to do with them." That is completely untrue and very telling. Just because your kids are yours, doesn't mean you can treat them any way you want.
Finally, let's not forget that even if parts of this situation are lawful--that does not mean it is moral. In the 1800's it was completely "lawful" for children to be sent to coal mines--but we clearly know that was immoral, regardless of what the...
Read moreI absolutely love eating at chick-fil-a. The food is delicious but I am giving this specific location 2 stars because they mess up my order every single time I go here which is about once a week. I have a very simple order. My fiance and I always order the same exact meal with one extra entree of chicken nuggets.
Whether they dont upgrade to a large but charge us for it, or give us incorrect drinks, or give us the wrong food. I haven't had a single experience here where I got the correct order all the way through.
They pride themselves on how fast the drive thru is, but I would honestly rather wait a couple extra minutes for my order to be right than have to get back in the line for my order to get fixed or to get home and realize i didnt get my moneys worth.
I love chick fil a but this location is making me not want to eat there anymore.
I work in customer service/food service myself at a very high volume store so I know what its like but I am always sure I am giving the customer the product they ask for and if not i am very apologetic and fix it for free to make the customer happy. This location acts annoyed and will charge me extra for an order they screw up on.
I am very disappointed with the service of this location. I wish there was another chick fil a somewhere close to me so i would never have to step foot near...
