I encourage those who read this to support local business and check your order before leaving this restaurant. Yesterday was my first time trying Buddy’s. I placed a carry out order of an XL pizza which was HUGE and 30 wings which was a little over $60 before a tip. It was very reasonably priced. The pizza was great. The wings, however… first, they left out a half order of wings I ordered in a different flavor. They also left out all the blue cheese dressing. The wings I did receive looked terrible, as though they’d been torn into already with some (like 5 out of the 24) having barely any meat on them, just bone mostly. I wish I had taken a picture of the wings. They were also dry according to my guests who ate them. When I got home and noticed we were missing wings, I called to see if I could send someone to pick them up or get a refund. They were out of wings at this point and couldn’t give me a refund over the phone — I would have to come back before they closed to get a refund or get wings another day. I don’t eat meat and my friends who do don’t come over often since they live 30-60mins away. The cashier was very kind in communicating with me when I called, and I was upset by the inconvenience. I was going to let it be and just lose out on a few dollars, but once my friends told me the quality of the wings weren’t good, I decided to leave this review in hopes that it leads to improvements. I won’t be ordering wings again but their pizza was good, so I could order that again. Again, service was great, very kind staff just disappointed by how much was spent for poor...
Read moreProbably has the best pizza around the area and definitely has the best calzones I've eaten. I've lived out east and this is probably as close as to New York pizza that you're going to get in the area. I went there quite a bit when I was in college over a decade ago, especially when going to the MSC basketball tournaments before the city tore the convention center down. It was a staple every time. Friday nights were Buddy's pizza when we went. Any other time, it was something new to try, but I generally got a pepperoni-sausage calzone. I moved down not too long ago, so I go once in a while, and it's generally the calzone with an Ale-8.
8/19 I don't know what happened, but it was just God-awful. I'm not sure how you manage to burn/blacken a calzone, but it sure happened. Not entirely sure what happened between this and when I was here a few months ago. Severely understaffed for a weeknight. Seemed the staff was more interested in the party in the other room. It is what it is. Sure hope that this...
Read moreMy daughter and I walked in to this restaurant and immediately looked at each other and without saying a word knew what the other was thinking. It smelled like a kennel or like we had just walked into a cat/dog sanctuary. Seriously... we walked up to the counter and was greeted by a nice lady telling us the special but there was no way we could eat there with that smell. We left and immediately looked the place up on google... absolutely shocked that the reviews don't say anything about the smell... like seriously...are all the people that gave a review have NO SENSE OF SMELL!?!?! IT hits you as soon as you step in the door... how can there not be one review without one person stating this?!?!?! We wondered if they were somehow able to keep certain bad reviews from being shown! We really wanted pizza but the smell was just too much... I can't eat somewhere that smells like a litter box. Wanted to support local but that was just gross... and I didn't see an inspection notice...
