China Buffet — Restaurant in Frankfort

We had to plant some beans in a jar and watch them sprout over a few days. I was so fascinated by the process, and I loved seeing the tiny green shoots emerge from the soil. I felt like a scientist and a gardener at the same time. I also loved eating the bean sprouts, which were crunchy and refreshing.

Speaking of bean sprouts, they are also one of the ingredients in another amazing dish at China Buffet: the chow mein. The chow mein is noodles stir-fried with chicken, carrots, cabbage, onions, and bean sprouts, in a tangy and tasty sauce. The noodles are soft and slippery, the chicken is juicy and tender, and the vegetables are colorful and crisp. The dish is filling and comforting, and it goes well with a cold and fizzy drink.

As I was sipping my drink, I was thinking about how much I love visiting Greece. Greece is one of my favorite places in the world, with its beautiful and breathtaking scenery, its ancient and awe-inspiring monuments, and its warm and welcoming people. I have been to Greece several times, and I always have a wonderful and memorable time. I especially love the food in Greece, which is fresh and healthy, with a lot of olive oil, cheese, bread, and salad. I also love the desserts in Greece, which are sweet and sticky, with a lot of honey, nuts, and pastry.

As I was finishing my meal, I was feeling happy and grateful. I had just had one of the best dining experiences of my life, and I couldn't wait to come back to China Buffet. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Chinese food, or who wants to try something new and exciting. I usually have a good experience at China Buffet. I did not have a good experience on Friday March 8th 2024. Here is a list of what I feel need improvement:

1. Drinking straws are not long enough for the size of the plastic drink glasses.without ice your straw will sink to the bottom and you will have to pull it up with your fingers each time you want a drink.
2. I ordered sweet tea ( no ice) and the tea did not taste good. The tea tasted like it was on the brink of spoiling, it tasted moldy. The sweet tea did not taste fresh, it tasted old. After the first sip I pushed the sweet tea out to the edge of the table to indicate that I was not going to drink the tea and no one asked if there was something wrong with the tea ( I asked for the price of the tea be discounted from the bill and the cashier agreed).
3. the booth D3 is where I was seated. The vinyl seat upholstery was old , cracked, ripped and torn with duct tape over some of the tears. How can the seat be wiped off properly with so much damage?
4. This particular day it was cloudy, chilly and rainy. The ceiling fans were operating on high speed and I felt uncomfortable with a cold draft blowing down. I usually can appreciate a fan keeping the air moving.
5. Finally, I do not believe that the restaurant gets a regular general cleaning. Most surfaces such as tables, door handles etc feel sticky or greasy. I will wait to revisit...

After reading several reviews stating the food was good to very good, but the service was poor to very poor, it stirred my interest. I arrived. I was seated right away. The server asked what I wanted to drink. I got my 1st plate. My drink was at my table when I returned. The food was so good that I went for a 2nd plate. I got back to my table and within 1 minute my old dishes were removed. A few moments later, I was asked if I needed a refill on my drink. A little while after that my bill was brought to my table with a fortune cookie. Momentarily, the waitress asked if I wanted to pay from the table.she returned with my change, smiled and politely said thank you. When she saw that I was leaving a tip she thanked me again. This all from a self serving buffet. It was extremely clean. It had a great selection if great tasting food. I was never in need of anything the whole time I was there. I admit that it was not overly busy because of snowy conditions, but no one was slacking. They were keeping the food bar stocked. Cleaning the floors and tables, and checking on coustmer needs. How much more could you really want? I left happy and satisfied. Next time you are near Frankfort, KY, you should check them out. Oh did I mention that the bill was $8.88 with my drink?
