The Swap Shop — Local services in Frankfort

I went into the swap shop today to try to sell a luggage bag and a Cincinnati Red Stein after looking at the luggage and Stein he informs me the Stein wasn't worth much so he wasn't interested (which is understandable) he then tells me that with luggage you never get what you paid for it and he didn't wanna insult me so he wasn't interested which is also understandable except I then informed him I needed gas money 5 or 10 dollars I just needed to get home, he then says well actually used are really hard to sell so that's why I'm not interested but good luck to you. All reasons he gave are completely understandable and I'm not upset about that.. What does bother me though is explaining how you don't wanna insult me by offering a low price but then I explain i just need 5 or 10 dollars to get home and you say we'll actually im not interested cause they're a hard sell. The low review comes from being fake nice by saying you didn't wanna insult me then changing it after I say 5 or 10 dollars to your not interested. You saying I don't wanna insult you is a haggling technique, you sir are fake. This is my opinion but it must be shared.

The Swap Shop is truly an hidden gem!! Owners Shane and Hannah are some of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. Everyone in the store treat their customers with like they would a friend, with friendliness and respect, and they truly go out of their way to make sure every customer has a great experience.

Selling to them is just as great as shopping there. They accept a MASSIVE variety of things people bring in, adding to the eclectic nature of the store. I am thoroughly impressed with The Swap Shop. The first time I walked in, I was greeted by the owners who are both very friendly and professional. As their name implies, their shop is filled with an impressive variety of things to buy...and none of it is junk! While other shops tend to look more like a perpetual garage sale, The Swap Shop is a proper store with quality inventory and surprisingly low prices. My first purchase was a carrying case for which I would have had to pay double to buy first-hand, and it was new in the box!
