My family was traveling, visiting friends, and decided to stop in as it was highly recommended for us to try Papa Gino's. The first thing we noticed was the atmosphere. It gives off nostalgic vibes of an old-school pizzeria. It was very clean, and the smell walking in the door was AMAZING! Next, the staff was wonderful, they were kind and answered any and all questions we had and were very accommodating. One thing that really stood out about them was that they all genuinely seemed happy to be there and not just there for the paycheck. We ordered a pizza and wings, and everything tasted fabulous and freshly made, not frozen or as if it was sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be ordered. A final personal thing that we loved about Papa Gino's is that they are partnered with and raising donations for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, my son is a 2 year cancer survivor so any company that gives to childhood cancer gets a +10 in my book, continue doing the good deeds Papa Gino's. We will definitely be back when we travel through there again, and wish there was something similar to the excellent experience we had there back...
Read moreI don’t usually like to bad mouth establishments but this particular location is unreal. I understand delivery places get crazy but it should not take 3 hours for two salads to get delivered somewhere a mile away. I put an online order in at 11:15 with delivery set for 12:00. It did not come until 1:00 and didn’t have the chips we ordered and after the driver left I realize the salad dressing is not in the bag either. After a call to the store the manager tells me the driver will bring it with the chips but it will take a while because they have more deliveries. Finally at 2:30 I get chips and dressing and can eat my warm salad. They did reimburse one salad for making me wait but that is the least they could do in my opinion. This is also not the first time I’ve waited longer than an hour and a half for this particular location to deliver...I should have learned my lesson the first time but you can’t ALWAYS fault delivery places for being late so thought I would give it another try. Needless to say I won’t be ordering from this Franklin location again...
Read moreThis Papa Gino's location is extremely hit or miss. The Milford one in the Kohl's plaza used to be the best one, but it seems that the inferior one in Milford and this one survived the chopping block.
Regardless nothing beats Papa Gino's pizza (when it's good) for me so I'll continue to play Russian roulette with this location.
Sometimes the food at this location is phenomenal, they do exactly what you ask for and are generous with the toppings. Other times it comes out looking worse than if a middle school home economics student made it.
Staff is equally hit or miss. Sometimes they're extremely friendly, funny and polite, but sometimes I've been served by this woman (who I won't name for protection of her job and identitybut I'm sure others know who I'm talking about if you've been here) who acts like you're doing her the biggest disservice of your life when you walk in and take an order.
I'll keep eating here because when it's good it's great- but I wish the...
