This WAS a 5 star review, so please read to the end.
01/2025: My favorite chicken Tikka Masala pizza with added black olives and beef-lamb is a $25 pizza. It should be swimming in veggies and meat. Add on toppings are $2/add on, but these added toppings were almost non-existent. I love the flavors, but this place isn't worth the price if they're going to be chinsy with the toppings. I can get sauces at the grocery store and make my own twisted pizza. $25 for a pizza that didn't have enough toppings is so disappointing. We paid over $60 for three pizzas, one of which was just plain cheese. See the picture. What looks like an olive is actually a mushroom. We probably won't be back. Also, there was no one at the front. A lady came out and got our order, but the absolute lack of customer service is just sad.
06/2024:OK...it was a weird pizza. Expensive, I thought initially, for a "small". I ordered the Palak pizza with veggies and lamb.
WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!
It was the ABSOLUTE BEST PIZZA I've ever had!!! AND it was much bigger than I expected for a "small" pizza. I have leftovers! I love leftovers! (I can eat an entire medium pepperoni in one sitting, though I don't recommend that.)
I have been all over the US and eaten all kinds of pizza.
OH, HOLY COW! I wish I could send smells and flavors over the internet.
I am now ruined (just kidding; I'll always love a good cheesy pepperoni pizza) and can only have pizza from Pizza Twist.
(I really am kidding...though I'll probably only order from Pizza Twist when I'm in the area.)
Whether or not you are a fan of Indian food, I can guarantee that you will find a pizza here that will be the BEST...
Read moreWe went to Pizza Twist on Friday, July 5th 2024. We went there specifically because , when reading Google reviews, we saw that they had cauliflower crust pizza and a 4.6 star rating. When we arrived the restaurant was like a ghost town. There was one table occupied by a group of 4 that appeared to be engaged in a business meeting. We located menus on the bar and began deciding what we'd like to order. After about 8 minutes with no sign of staff, my wife politely asked the seated group if they were staff, or knew where the staff were, and they suggested she knock on the kitchen door. That resulted in someone finally coming to take our order. We asked for a deep dish "Create your own" pizza and were informed that they didn't have any deep dish crusts, so we asked for hand tossed. Then my wife asked for a "Lamb Kabob" medium pizza and we paid. No sooner had we sat down, when she realized she hadn't been given the option to select a crust and that she'd like the cauliflower crust, and had to knock at the kitchen door again. The man who emerged let her know that they didn't have any cauliflower crusts either, or the Gluten Free one. When our pizzas arrived the crusts appeared identical! When we queried this we were told that one was thin crust and one was hand tossed. I took pictures, so that you can be the judge. So, of all the crusts that are on the menu, they only had thin crust and hand tossed and they were identical. The pizza was very good, but the whole experience was extremely disappointing. I can't recommend Pizza Twist. They certainly came nowhere near living up to their Google rating as far as we...
Read moreA few areas of improvement (everything else was 5-star as you can see my rating):
if you’re going there for the first time, its very confusing to know if you should wait for someone to seat you at the tables or you grab your own table. By the way, it’s none of the above — you go to a hidden corner and order your pizza first and then grab a table of your choice and they bring the pizza to you.
secondly, there’re certain things they will provide to you at the table such as a to-go box or water but certain things you need to grab from somewhere else such as plates. The whole model seems confusing.
Now let’s come to the best parts:
Pizza: this Indian pizza is approved by those who’ve had authentic food in India and it’s a big deal. The flavors are bang-on. We ordered butter chicken pizza and achari pizza and both were good. My favorite was butter chicken pizza.
Pro-Tip: get mild on spice level because they have green chilies in the pizza that add a good kick and bring on the heat in a different way.
Staff: they have one of the best staff around. They all are so friendly and welcoming and helpful. They kept checking on us ever so often how we were doing and promptly brought to the table whatever we needed.
Parking: plenty of parking spots right outside reserved for pizza twist customers.
$$ : small pizza is a good size for two-people or one hungry person. After taxes, it comes about $16 plus tip.
Beverages: They do serve alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages such as mango lassi.
Final thoughts: Will I go there again? Hell yeah! Will I recommend this place to a friend?...
