Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Frazer Township

First impressions are everything. When we first walked in the door host in the process of seating a family. She looked at us but said nothing. After she sat the family she came back to the front and walked passed us. Again saying nothing. She grabbed a booster seat and took it to the family she just sat. She then walked up to the front again grabbed something from her podium looked at us but again said nothing. She left and dissapeared. After standing there wondering what was going on. I looked around the restaurant and looked at my friend as I was now ready to leave. Being in the customer service field...I think it is bad customer service to not at a minimum acknowledge customers entering a store or restaurant. A woman must of seen my body language and immediately came to the front and apologized as she herself didn't know where the door host had dissapeared too. She asked another employee and that employee didn't know either. The woman again apologized and proceeded to seat us at a table.

As for the food and following services from that point...definitely no complaints. Drinks came in timely manner. And once our food was ordered it too came out in a timely manner. The food was prepared to our liking and the portions were filling. The price point was definitely to our liking.

I will definitely be back...they just need to work on everyone having the same energy for every customer. And at the very least...great every customer that walks into the establishment within the first 2 to minutes unless you are extremely busy. Which was not the case...

Update -Second bad review: (lost another star) Should have read my first review! This particular Applebee's is extremely mediocre and poorly managed. Was told three separate times that we had to wait longer for something because someone was smoking.

The server was friendly enough but obviously frazzled and serving tables across the restaurant.

The bourbon street chicken was basically just over seasoned blackened chicken (no glaze). Most of it went home in a doggie bag.

The steak (Medium Rare) was sent back because it was Well Done. The replacement steak came after all the other meals were eaten and was brought back seared (Rare). Oh well, breakfast tomorrow.

Last but not least, the AC vent dripped water on our table throughout the entire meal (and our food).

Manager was aware, but made zero effort to check on our table to make anything right (except the $3 kiosk over charge for games no one played, but that vodt us an extra 20 min).

I won't be back.

First Bad review: Didn't have our best experience here last night, but wasn't in the mood to complain to management: First time I ever ordered fajitas that had medium-rare to rare steak. In fact, all three meals had the same level of undercooked steak (and the sirloin was such a fatty cut, we fed half of it to the pets). Should have been a red flag when the table across us had to send steak back....

Guess my point is:. If you want steak, this may not be where you want to go.

This location is disappointing My Husband took me there for dinner after work I ordered a simple burger and he placed his order while we waited for over an hour for our food we were able to notice that the manager was being requested by three other table about there food and all we kept saying was I hope nothing is wrong with ours, well my Burger was a mess the sauce that came on it was not place on the burger it was sloppily applied all over the bottom bun and running all over the plate and dripping. I asked if I could get more sauce and a less soggy bun🤨🤔the waitress returned with ice cold sauce and the bottom portion of an ice cold bun😑. I tried to endure the insult and just see if it would come together I refixed my burger bit into it and there was no way in mighty hocky sticks that I was going to to eat this mess. We too then asked for the manager. The burger was left on ice cold plate that it came on and taken off of the bill we still tipped our waitress but she got a bit upset we she had to give a us a coupon for a free appetizer for not mentioning there gift card promo😶😏 why?? And as bad as the Service was we still gave her a $9 tip. I will never indulge in theses nasty waters again unless it's for a drink. Taking my free appetizer coupon to another...
