Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Fredericksburg

Giving one star because zero stars is not an option. The line at the drive thru was long so I chose to go inside to place my order. It took several minutes before someone noticed me standing at the counter to place an order, which is understandable because they were busy trying to fill orders. I placed my order and while waiting, I struck up a conversation with another customer who stated that he had been waiting for 20 minutes for his order. This gentleman went to the counter and asked how much longer it would be and he was asked for his receipt. He was informed that his order must have been accidentally been cleared but if he would wait a few more minutes, his order would be ready which required an additional 10 minutes. One of the employees asked if I had placed an order and when I said yes, he asked to see my receipt because he couldn’t find my order on their board either. After waiting for 40 minutes and not receiving my order, I requested a refund and left. I understand that some chicken or other menu items may need to be fried to fill all of the orders but when the orders are removed from the board before the order is filled is incompetence of the employees. There were three employees in the front and another one in the back so they were not short-handed. I completely understand that someone may get flustered when they’re that busy but to clear orders that aren’t even filled and not even offer an apology for the error is...

Check your bag before you leave . The past couple of visits to this location have left me disappointed. Placed an order at the drive thru. Got to the pick-up window only to find a taped up to the window special that wasn't at the drive thru (in all fairness, it's been very windy here). I asked that my chicken order be changed to the special... no problem. Grabbed that deal and headed to a park with my grandson to eat . Sadly , our 6 rolls that came with the special were nowhere to be found . We were handed our drinks and told there were no straws ??? Really ? Lunchtime wasn't going to go well for them . Naturally, after eating our fill at the park , we had to make the trip back for our rolls. I walked in this time to explain the problem. Got my 6 rolls , no questions asked, and somehow , magically appearing before my eyes ,was a fully stocked straw dispenser . Yes, I took a handful , just in case I ever go back there. I'm so sorry that y'all have let me down the past couple of visits. All of Fredericksburg was so excited you came to our town . Luckily, we have choices. Will be awhile...

I’m giving 2 stars for service because the guy at the window was nice and kinda helpful by the second time I went because the first time they forgot my bombers and then the biscuits were undercooked so I went and nicely said that and the guy said oh yeah or oven has been down that’s why they came like that well could’ve told me that before giving me the biscuits.. well he gave me extra chicken that was nice but the chicken too was not great it made all of us sick mainly my daughter was up all night throwing up we ordered last night at 8pm 😑 sorry I won’t be coming back to this location I love churches chicken but this one...
