Hill Country Donuts & Kolaches — Restaurant in Fredericksburg

We needed a quick and filling breakfast that we could take on the road to Enchanted Rock, so we found this place and figured we'd get a couple of breakfast sandwiches. We got one bacon, egg, and cheese croissant, one ham, egg, and cheese croissant, one blueberry cream cheese kolache, one cream cheese kolache, and a plain glazed donut.

The sandwiches were among the best quick breakfast sandwiches we'd had, but the star of the show was the plain glazed donut. It was legit one of the BEST donuts I'd ever had. 10/10 would go back for that. The kolaches were okay; there was a bit too much dough for my liking and the fillings were phenomenal, but I probably wouldn't get them again. But breakfast sandwiches and donuts? Absolutely.

I was trying to find a good place for donuts and I found it. Sweet odins beard this place was so dam good. I have never had donuts this soft and full of flavor. Even after a few days the donuts were still very soft and just as delicious. My kids devoured the pink and blue donuts and I stuffed my face with the cherry filled donut. We also had the kolaches and the regular one were our favorite. It was good cold but once they warmed it up for me the kolache burst into my mouth a whole new flavor. We ordered cream cheese kolaches, a couple of fruit kolaches, and a couple of sausage kolaches, along with some coffee. The dough was perfect; soft, pillows, and slightly sweet. The sweet kolaches had plenty of tasty filling, and the sausage is very good sausage from a local sausage shop. We were all very happy with our order.
