We enjoyed our stay very much. They bring you a warm breakfast in a basket every morning at 9. Eggs and French toast with sausages … each day was different. A little too far from downtown to walk but the grounds are lovely if you want to pick a bench and do some reading or just enjoy. One caution, however, if you’re elderly and aren’t quite as steady as you once were, the buildings are rustic and quaint but some of the floors are uneven. Out bathroom had a stone floor with a step and the jacuzzi tub was a challenge to shower in. A non skid mat would have been helpful and a side safety bar too. There was one bar but more would have helped. It’s a big step in. Next time I’ll be more vigilant and ask questions so we can get a more appropriate suite for our age. We had a short but lovely trip. It’s a great property and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Another note … use the front parking lot entrance. The back entrance is steep and narrow. I handled it because I was unaware of the other entrance. Now I know.

Beautiful place. Location is great, right within walking distance of all the shops, bars, and restaurants. It was very quiet during our stay which was much appreciated. The massage I got at the day spa was amazing, the hand delivered breakfast basket each day was such a nice touch. Our cable car wine tour picked us up directly from the hotel, it has a big parking lot which made it easy. A few weeks before arriving we were upgraded to a larger cottage, and a few days before we were told about a free wine tasting in the Great Hall. It was very fun and tasty, we ended up chatting with some guests and the server was local and gave us great tips for restaurants. My friend and I said the only thing missing was a pool! Maybe they could get access for guests to the Hampton Inn pool nearby?? Just a thought. Overall a great stay, will come back soon!

Beautiful place in the heart of Fredericksburg, just one block off the main drag. Rented the place for my 12year wedding anniversary. Got in late but had our keys left for us on arrival. Got to our room and it was absolutely beautiful. It was like a little house. Old world charm mixed with new age amenities. Big bathtub that the wife flipped over. Had to try it out as soon as we got there. Big comfy bed put me right to sleep. In the morning at 9am breakfast was delivered to our door in a picnic basket. Very romantic breakfast of mushroom and spinach quiche with sausage patties and fresh cut fruit. Very delicious. We got to see the grounds in daylight and they were beautiful. Coy ponds and little hideaways. Definitely will schedule another trip to this little slice of paradise.

We had a wonderful, romantic stay at Hoffman Haus. First of all, I don't know if it was because it was our anniversary or an emptiness issue due to Covid, but we were upgraded from a two-room suite to our very own cottage! Now THAT is one way to get a loyal customer, which we will be from now on! The cottage we stayed in had a living room with TV and table for two, an old armoire that has been converted into a mini kitchenette, a bedroom with another TV, and a large bathroom that had a walk in shower, stand alone tub for two, closed off toilet, and two separate bathroom vanities, which makes it nice for a girl who brings lots of stuff. Every morning, we received a delicious, unique breakfast. Cannot say enough about the quality of food you will get! The bathroom is stocked with a Texas Hill Country company's lotion, body wash, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner. And each station (both vanities, the bathtub and the shower) all have their own sets of stuff, so there is no going back and forth! The kitchenette is stocked with a local company's delicious coffee! There is plenty of parking, movies in The Great Hall, an ice machine, free WiFi, and more! Hoffman Haus is within walking distance to Main Street, but we drove and parked closer to the shops, which was only a 3 minute drive to get us to the start of the main chunk of the mile-long shopping strip. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Hoffman Haus, for such a wonderful experience! All the local amenities were a great touch. Room was incredibly clean. Breakfast was amazing! We hope to see...

I was traveling solo by car to a funeral on a ranch north of Fredericksburg (of a beloved friend who died in her sleep at age 95). She always told me I must visit Texas in the spring to see the wildflowers. I decided to spend 5 nights at HOFFMAN HAUS before the funeral to take her advice, honor her memory and explore the area to see the wildflowers. Thankfully, the staff recommended the Weber House for me and it was PERFECT! A lovely restored "Sunday House", luxurious and comfortable, private and quiet. My friend would have loved it!!! If you are lucky enough to spend time in this house, honor and care for it in the way it has been honored and restored. Everything written about the service and the breakfasts at HOFFMAN HAUS is true - it is all over the top good. (Don't try to negotiate the breakfast time - they have a system, let them do what they do.) I also enjoyed spending a few hours in the main house exploring the books in the library. It's as much fun and as good as any independent bookstore I have ever been in. I will look back on my 5 nights in the Weber House as among the most special in my life - peaceful, quiet and frozen in time. I checked in on a Sunday and out on a Friday. The weekend vibe is much different - more crowded, louder, and higher energy. It's a big "venue" location, too, weddings and such. The Weber House is an ideal honeymoon or anniversary space, too, though I totally dug being in it alone. Depending on what you are looking for, I'd recommend Hoffman House without reservation. A truly unique and...

Not luxury at all; we travel all over the world first class and stay in upscale and luxury hotels. hoffmanHaus is a tired worn county inn. We reserved what was to be the best suite. It was a two room 2 bathroom suite, with a dingy tight coffee, sink and microwave named in to the little Hoel in the wall. The room door and walls are rough lumber which the bottom has been blackened with water from cleaning the floor. The bedroom has no furniture or usable table to put stuff on and no place to power plug to connect my breathing CPAP machine near the bed. Only one power plug at the end of the room. The breakfast basket which is left behind the room is fairly good and probably the only good thing here. The room was upstair way up at the end of a long steep narrow stairs. The inn is priced way too expensive. We stayed there two nights, then checked in to a Marriott Fairfield which was fantastic large well equipped room $130 at half the price of Hoffman's $250. I usually don't write reviews, but felt important to write this one, specifically since I feel I was tricked by the " luxury " and the Five star rating. I don't know who would have rated it any higher than I am, they have a very nice wedding venue hall; I suppose the rating is from the wedding venue. For a vacation destination I wouldn't give it more than 2 stars; and actually would never stay in...
