Six Twists Sparkling — Restaurant in Fredericksburg

We've been coming to Fredericksburg for years in all different seasons, busy and quiet. This is by far the worst experience we've ever had. For starters, when we were sat, we weren't given or offered water; we eventually had to ask for some. If you get the older gentleman with the grayish ponytail, just leave. He spent the entire time talking to what I assume are friends of his, and even when he was serving us, he was focused on his friends coming in the door. We spent close to an hour there, and only got 2 of the wines on each of our tastings. The second wine I was served was flat, so beware of that as well. We also never saw the food we ordered when we ordered our tastings (questionable on if the waiter even put it in). We ultimately asked at the bar to just charge us for one tasting (we did get 4 pours all said and done), and let us leave. I only give them 1 star because at least they agreed to that.

Wonderful outside and inside settings. Perfect for instagram! The location is perfect for the area, especially in relation to the incoming businesses surrounding the outside courtyard! The inside itself had a vibrant and luxurious atmosphere. The Feng Shui, with the calm lighting, fine music, and beautiful furniture, encouraged relaxation while sipping on a fresh glass of sparkling wine.

With some family, we partook in the around the world experience which includes four different sparkling wines from various countries (i.e. Italy, Spain, France, USA). Each wine came with a brief introduction and background of the producer and their region. Our Host, Andre, did a magnificent job in providing this information, making the experience even more enjoyable!

These sparkling wines are very unique in their taste, and were especially fresh due to their storage techniques! They have many many wines in their selection ranging from dry to sweet, and come from all over the world!

Overall, amazing experience! Will most definitely be visiting this...

Second visit to Six Twists … our server this evening was Lorcan (sp?), he was awesome! Thank you sir! We did two “Somm’s Choice” champagne/bubbles flight and were treated to many incredible bubbles. There are hundreds of bottles available, and everything we had was first-rate! We enjoyed the trio caviar flight as well, accompanied by crème fraiche, blinis, and chips. Delicious! Left with six bottles! Yum! Wonderful evening, bubbles and caviar in lieu of dinner. Fair trade! Highly recommend Six Twists!

Great champagne bar on Main Street, extra bonus is the caviar tastings available. We enjoyed the champagne tasting flight, then the world bubbles flight, and while sipping savored the caviar trio. All so delicious! The selection of champagne, other bubbles and wines is unmatched in Central Texas. We met the owners, Melissa and Bobby, who were so nice and hospitable. Our waitress Aleda was also wonderful, really knew her bubbles! Definitely a “must do” in Fredericksburg, we will definitely...
