This was a great find on our mini vacation! #minivacation

Overall this hotel is around a 4.5. The location is great. Far enough away from the street noise, but still close enough to walk everywhere. Very convenient. Good parking. The area and presents are really nice. They have two pools and a bar area. Breakfast included and very nice, but they run out of bacon and a few items early. Would be nice to have a bit more. That being said it was delicious and fresh. They have fresh lemon water in the lobby and everything was clean; grounds, rooms, areas. Very nice. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. The A/C was not on when we came in so there was a slight musty smell. Would recommend that management keep it on a bit for the rooms. Probably the reason the doors are hard to close. However the A/C worked well and the room was very comfortable. The amenities were nice. The bathroom light was broken but mentioned it to management and they fixed it and also knocked a few dollars off the bill- very nicely done. Service was impeccable. Rooms were clean and made and the management responded well to any call. Areas were very nice with lots of parking. The pools were beautiful with a small waterfall and slide. Poolside gas fireplace was a nice touch. Hot rob would be nice when the weather gets cooler. The pricing normally is ok. We went during Octoberfest so it was an extra $100 on the normal 150 a night. Would say it is way too much. But still the place is nice and at normal pricing worth it. Well priced in normal times. We would return.

My family and I stayed here last month, arriving on a Thursday. The grounds were beautiful online, so we asked for a room by the pool. Upon arriving, you could hear the people in the pool from the parking lot on the opposite side. There was a group of several adults in the pool holding beer cans, being very loud- easily heard behind the closed door of the motel room. The room had a stale smell to it. We immediately went back to the front desk and requested another room. The woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful, finding us another room without any issues (far away from the pool, thankfully). Upon mentioning the reason for our request for room change (being the loudness of the pool). She said there is a frat house vibe on some nights when a certain group of people come in. We were thankful for the accommodations. However, the new room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly and not been used in a while. There was a dead moth between the pillows, black specks of something on top of the comforter, cobwebs in the corners of the room with dead bugs, an orange stain on the comforter, and some sort of brown splatter on various parts of the walls. This was our first time traveling and staying in a motel since COVID and this was a huge letdown and concern regarding the cleanliness of the room. Thankfully we travel with Lysol and alcohol wipes and gave the room a thorough cleaning. In addition to the poor cleanliness of the room- I must say that while a sliding barn door looks very nice, it is not a realistic option. The door kept sliding open anytime you were in the bathroom, leaving very little room for privacy (thankfully it was just my husband, son, and I- rather than a trip with friends). The first night was quiet and uneventful. However, Friday night, the person in the room above us sounded like they were having a brawl. Starting around 8pm, we started hearing stomping and loud noises here and there. After 10pm it really ramped up and became much more frequent and louder. After 11 pm, it began to sound like someone was being thrown across the room repeatedly. After calling the front desk and making a complaint, the noise died down, but did not stop. The noise was spaced out enough to where we were able to get some sleep, but it continued, nonetheless. While the service was friendly and the grounds were very nice, right by a little creek- I would not recommend this motel for a family or anyone wanting a quiet getaway. This motel is perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy the Fredericksburg bar and wine scene and then come back to your motel and enjoy a heated pool with some more alcohol. They allow alcohol in the pool area, just not glass. If there were no drinking or smoking, and the rooms were cleaned appropriately, this would be more of a family-friendly destination. While the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the grounds were very pretty. This is not for a family with...

This was our second three night stay this year. We were disappointed. The WiFi was TERRIBLE. It worked about 1/3 of the time. And the cable TV kept losing signal. The Heat/AC unit says on it to use the thermostat on the wall (earlier in the year the thermostat on the wall worked), not this time. And the “auto” didn’t work, so we were constantly having to turn it on and off. As another reviewer mention the unit was LOUD! The bathroom needs a remodel and the shower curtain needs a cleaning. I saw a baby silver fish in the sick the morning we checked out. Ewww. The carpet is filthy. My daughter put on while athletic socks and they were black on the bottom very quickly. The breakfast is just okay. Yes it is hot food, but same thing each day (except one day sausage replaced with bacon). Quality of food just okay. They no long have the soda fountain machine, and the little cartons of milk for cereal replaced with gallon jugs and the opened one smelled bad. The one staff person running the buffet that we saw was overwhelmed. At one point both trash cans full to overflowing and nowhere to throw out breakfast disposable plate so it got left on a table. Had contemplated staying an additional night in Fredericksburg but didn’t want to stay another night at this place. Not only was it a letdown from our last visit, but the rate doubled from Thur to Fri night. For the same money as we paid during our stay there, but went to the Peach Tree Inn. We got a unit that was like a small apartment. There was a bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed and a living room couch that pulled out to a queen size bed. The living room also had a comfortable recliner and there was a full kitchen with full size frig, stove, sink and cooking utensil cups and plates. Plus a small dinette table. Our room face backyard with grills and fire pits and plenty of seating and Saturday morning at about 7am we saw a deer at the back of the yard near the tree line. We were very happy with our move. There were no Wi-Fi issues, direct tv with plenty of channels and a tv in both the living room and bedroom. Oh and a nice...

This was an awful experience for us. I have no idea where all of these great reviews came from. Clean? No it wasn’t - not our room at least.

There were cobwebs on the ceiling in every corner. There were bugs and webs in a couple of floor corners. And the topper- there was a scrunchie left in the shower, wrapped around the faucet handle. There is no way that they cleaned the shower without removing the hair band.

Don’t let the photos on their website or on the travel sites fool you. The pool is actually really pretty, and the lobby is so-so, but the rooms are disgusting and in need of major renovations.

We had reservations for 2 nights, but ended up staying only one. I couldn’t get out of that room fast enough the next day. I didn’t sleep at all. The bed itself isn’t bad, but the pillows are AWFUL! They are thin and just really used (is what they felt like). I decided to try the couch in the living are and it was so worn down and I just sunk down in it. Terrible support.

The staff? Pretty rude. There were 3 clerks behind the counter when I walked in the lobby to check in. They looked up at me and just stared. I was waiting for them to say “welcome” or something since they weren’t busy. Nope, I never got that. I had to walk up to the counter (no big deal), and practically beg. them to check me in.

I have to share the good too: - -the bed was clean. -the hotel is in a great location - in walking distance to Main Street. I would, however, rather drive or take a longer walk to Main Street if it meant not having to step foot in Fredericksburg Inn & Suites.

I’ve seen people complaining of roaches in their room, and I believe it. Although I didn’t spot any of them in our room, a roach did run right past me when I was heading to our room.

This hotel - the rooms at least - desperately need to be renovated. As mentioned above, we checked out a night early because the room completely creeped me out. It was dirty and dingy. I think management should spend a night or two in one of the rooms, and take a look at the ceilings, floors, and experience the horrible pillows...
