City Vino — Restaurant in Fredericksburg

City Vino was a participant in the Pumpkin Spice Crawl this past Saturday in downtown. When we were given our map at the visitor center, we were told that the vendors listed on that map were all giving out something complementary as part of the $35 ticket fee. Every other vendor on the list was kind, engaging and fun and had something really nice to share with us. When we got to city Vino, we were told about a flight they were offering for a certain price. When I asked about what the complimentary tasting was, the owners response was “we’ve grown up” and “we have Cab flights for such and such cost”. She was rude as can be and talked right over me. My husband and I went to City Vino during Restaurant Week 2025. We had a very strange (and unpleasant) encounter. Their employee "trash talked" us to us. I had come into their shop a couple of days before to see if I could order "Le Crema Cab Sauv Sonoma 2022". Their employee, when we were there for RW, started talking about some undesirable person that came in wanting trash wine that is sold in most convenience and grocery stores in the south. I stopped in to get a wine for my sister that she is unable to get since she moved to Florida. City Vino did not have it in stock at the time, but Rita went above and beyond to contact the vendor and get it in stock for me the next day before my flight.
