This was a stunningly bad bubble tea place. We were speechless after tasting it. We had the flavors of strawberry bubble tea and regular milk tea with bubbles. Prices are higher than most places I've been to at $5.50 for the regular take out cups and $6 for the novelty lightbulb cup. There is also a coffee side in this same location separated by something like a cubicle wall which appears to have another girl to take orders and make your drinks. We did not try this side, but from how bad the tea side was, we don't really want to come back to see. the tapioca balls were not soaked in sugar water or honey. A forgivable offense on its own. Only powder usage. Also forgivable if you mix things right. But the "strawberry" flavor was a sickly pale pink with the thick consistency of peptobismol, but peptobismol tastes better. And i don't like peptobismol. You could hardly taste any sweetness, strawberry flavor or tea flavor. It was just tastelessly thick. Regular milk tea was the opposite--watery. But also not enough sugar or milk or tea flavor. Terrible decor or presentation. It's also selling like mall goth decor (skull goblets, dragon and fairy figurines) next to precious moments (a Christian figurines company) type decorations and cheap sterling silver and costume jewellery. Their cups were just clear plastic take out cups that someone actually took the effort to sharpie in their name "tea tyme." Something i would expect of a restaurant that sells bubble tea on the side. Not store that specializes in their drinks (in addition to random knick knacks i guess).

Edit: an interesting reply from the owner, but does not address any issues. Has anything changed? Have you improved? Whether flavor, bubble preparation or presentation? Do you have your own branded cups yet?Jesus saw a nice looking fig tree and approached it because he was hungry, but it bore no fruit. So Jesus cursed it. And later on the disciples saw that the fig tree had withered. Tea Tyme was that fig tree to us. We saw it looked nice from the outside, and wanted some nice bubble tea. Unfortunately there was no "fruit." And it was a terrible...

I’ve been coming to the this shop for a couple years now and have never had a problem until today. The man argued with me about the same matcha drink that I get every time I come here after I told him coffee was in it. After I tried explaining to him that coffee has never been put in this drink before he continued to argue before remaking the second drink. The second drink he came out with was brown and tasted like regular tea. After asking what he made the second drink with he proceeded to argue with me and my friend that jasmine green tea that he put in this second drink is the same thing as matcha green tea. After he went back and forth with us some more he said “so you want me to remake the drink again when you now have two drinks?” When we already made it clear we weren’t taking either one of them. He finally stated that this time he’ll put the matcha powder in the third drink and then tried to make me reuse the straw that he touched with his ripped glove from the same drink before. In the middle of us trying to get the drink fixed he rudely stopped talking to us and began to address two...

Stopped by for some boba, ended up getting a blueberry milk tea with their kiwi popping pearls. My grandma got a mango + peach tea with their tapioca, so I got to try hers as well. Definitely preferred the popping pearls over the boba. Boba has a chewy texture while the popping pearls pop easily in your mouth and are filled with your choice of flavor. Both the milk tea and regular tea was good. They have a lot of flavors to choose from so it was hard to choose. Definitely on the expensive side for a drink, though. It was about 5.95 + tax for a 16oz drink. The drinks we got were great, don't get me wrong, but I think their shop could use a bit of a revamp. There were lots of trinkets and stuff you can browse and buy, but a lot of them looked dirty and rusted, and a lot of the jewelry was fading. The seating is not that much attractive, either. I didn't use the bathroom so not sure about the cleanliness of that part. Otherwise, I'll stop by again for the tea but I don't think I'd want to...

My daughter seen other kids walking around downtown with the light bulb looking drinks and asked someone where they got it and they directed us to the Bubble Tea Shop. Kind of unique and hidden, I've walked by this place many times and couldn't tell you what was in here. As you walk in the store they sell gift items in the front, looks like a coffee shop on one side and a sign that points to bubble tea's on the other. Needless to say, by daughter and niece each ordered a vanilla bubble tea and they really like them. My brother order a smoothie and he said it was good and they use real fruit in the smoothie. If you bring back the bulb shaped cups and reuse them, you receive a quarter discount on your next order. Only suggestion is to redesign store layout, most people I seen enter store were there for the bubble tea, so that should be more visible.

This was my first visit and first time having boba tea, although I love tapioca so it's not a new concept to me. I got blueberry milk tea with Boba which was delicious, a tad sweeter than I expected. The woman working there was very sweet and made my drink quickly. There's so much potential here. I think she would get a lot more traffic with a quick update inside and downsizing the knick knack collection (especially with the newer competition up the road). Overall, I enjoyed my tea and will visit again when I want a sweet treat.
