This location has gone under a perfectly fine 4-5 star experience because of my last few orders. I go maybe 2-3 times a month since it is on my way home from work, so I have a pretty good understanding of this locationās quality over a solid 3 year period.
I spend my entire day being a normal human, but Iām borderline on the spectrum with my Cookout order. I always order the same thing every time: Big Double with ketchup, pickles, onions, lettuce; white cheddar cheese bites; cajun fries; and an Oreo shake. I always eat the bites, the fries, the shake, and then the burger in order.
Over the past few months, I noticed the servings of the fries and bites were getting smaller. Forgiveable, but notable. But the last two visits were so disappointing it is worth a scathing review.
Last time, there was little cajun seasoning on the fries, and I got maybe 4 cheese bites - which were cold. The burger was missing ketchup and the pickles.
This time, the sides were fine but I was given a blueberry shake. I didnāt discover this until I got home.
To be fair, Iām going to Cookout to eat fast food that is going to spike my cholesterol. If I wanted blueberries, Iād have them as a snack, not in a 600 calorie shake. I drove the 10 minutes back, dooming the rest of my order to getting cold. I simply ask for a replacement; they took my receipt, and I got my Oreo shake pretty fast. Great - water under the bridge, right? WRONG. It would have ended there, but I sit here typing this review on my couch. Alas, when I got home and got into the rest of my meal, a tear formed in my eye when I bit into a sad, cold burger. The burger didnāt have any ketchup on it.
Iām out of ketchup.
I donāt really care about the employees. I donāt blame any individual person. I worked in food service. It sucks, and they probably donāt get paid well. Itās just that this is such a consistent, obvious downgrade in service that either corporate or the managers stopped giving a hoot about the quality of the overall service. I donāt think I should have to sit in my car in front of the poor lady/gentleman at the window doing open heart surgery on my fast food to make sure I actually got what I ordered. Itās not fair to me, the cashier, the people behind me, or God.
Because of the 2.9 years of overall excellent cheap cheat-meal-food, I will give corporate a chance to make it right, but until then, this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOoooh where do I begin? My partner and I decided to grab a quick bite to eat so we went through the drive thru. As soon as I get up to the box I cannot understand what is being said because the worker was talking too fast and cut his mic off too soon so I started giving my order which I was quickly interrupted and asked to repeat what I just said. I kindly obliged and finished informing the worker of what I wanted and was starting to relay what my partner wanted.
Well, I guess the manager had lost her patience and started yelling over the guy (while he was still talking) taking my order being rude and cutting me off when I repeated exactly what she asked not knowing she didn't get my first item until I asked what she had and she rudely told me to start again so I did.
By the time I got up to the window I felt so disrespected by the woman that I asked for the manager (which happened to be the woman yelling over the order box). She came over trying to blame the worker saying she was training him and she kept saying she never got rude... well Erica, why did you get so cocky when I asked for your name? You, Erica, stood there being rude, continuously, and kept saying it was your trainees fault that there was an issue with taking my order at the box. You as a manager are responsible for everything and deescalating situations; not making them worse. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and my friends and I will never frequent your location again.
Skip this location and go to the one on route 1/patriot hwy if you want better service or chose a different restaurant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis company blows my mind dude. Back in OCTOBER of 2022 I get my friend to take me by cookout after work. (Mind you I wasn't able to drive at that time due to epilepsy) I get home and go to eat and I didn't even have a friggin burger.... Just a lettuce tomato onion sandwich. Have fought tooth and nail wanting a refund, and it's basically impossible. They "sent" out a check to me. I called back again since I haven't gotten anything. They said they sent it out. Got nothing still a month later. I call again They said they sent the second one I call another time.... I HAVE TO BE THE ONE TO ASK.... Do you have the right address? They say oh we have been sending it to PORTLAND Dr Not COURTLAND DR like I told them They said they sent it December 19th with the new correct address. Here we are January 6th with no check. Oh yeah, they can't even refund your card. They will only send a check. That's basically why this whole debacle is happening. Absolutely ridiculous. So called again today, and just went with having them send a voucher since it's been almost 3 months with none of my money back. Highly recommend going elsewhere. And, ALWAYS CHECK your food before leaving This wouldn't have been a big deal if I was able to drive back there and show them. But as I said I had my license taken away due to epilepsy and couldn't go...
