Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Freehold Township

One of the most negative experiences I have ever had at any restaurant in the 40 years I’ve been alive. The manager is an ogre. Popeyes has a promotion on the back of every store receipt where if you give a review, you get two pieces of chicken and a biscuit for the price of a large soda. I’ve used this promotion in over 10 Popeyes restaurants without a single problem, around 20 times now. I’ve only ever had two problems, and both were at this location from The same manager. Please note the other employees at this location are very friendly and had it not been for this unprofessional and rude supposed Manager, I’d give this location five stars. The first time he gave me a problem, he stated that I needed to bring in a picture of the rewards code instead of just writing it on the back of this receipt, even though at every other location, the written code is completely fine and part of Popeyes directions on the website. After I heavily insisted, he accepted the promotion. The most recent time, I brought in the picture and the receipt and he stated that he wouldn’t honor it because I didn’t purchase originally from his location, even though that’s complete BS. I reminded him his previous instructions to me and he allowed it, but told me that we don’t honor that promotion at this location. So Popeyes, you tell me who’s in the wrong here. This review is for the Popeyes in the food court at the Freehold Raceway Mall.

Pros: Plenty of parking - it's in the mall. Convenient & right there after shopping. Delicious food! Outside appearance (what you can see) looks clean. Nice menu selection. Food comes packaged well.

Cons: Long line (because the food is DELICIOUS!) Cashier taking order wasn't the friendliest, most likely due to busy lines all day & customers that are not always nice.

Try it! You will be hooked!!

Nasty and hostile manager who acts like a 2 year old and will yell and shout at customers in front of other customers. Not surprised at other comments about similar negative interactions with the manager.
