Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Fremont

I've been a manager and everything below (i.e. bartender, server) in the restaurant business for over 8 years, so it really takes a lot for me to leave a bad review. First I walked in to no host and waited for about 6 minutes just to go on another wait to be seated. Host stated it would be 10 minutes which really turned into 25 minutes. I do give her credit because she kept reassuring and updating myself and other guests about the status of our tables. As a manager I understand to go on a "fake wait" to help servers or cooks to catch up, however it looks really bad that all your tables up front where the guest sees first were all empty. Finally my table is ready and my party of 2 is sat a table made for 6. The host was nice again to take our drink orders, but the problem with this is she can not do her job properly because she was the only host. Throughout my horrible dinner, I at least seen 3 sets of people walk in wait for the host and turn right around and leave. Anyone in this business knows that the most expensive seat in a restaurant is an empty one. So back to my table, I waited patiently for about 5 minutes to be greeted by my server, he never came. So I just decided to just order from the table top computer, and just as I sent my order to the kitchen my waiter appears. To make matters worst, he did not apologize for the wait or introduce himself for a proper greeting. After 10 minutes, the host stopped by and asked if everything is okay. I told her we ordered appetizers and to have someone check on them. A few more minutes go by only to have our entrees delivered. I really wanted my apps, but at this point I'm so hungry to eat that I decided to eat. Sadly the food didn't make for the horrible service because my ribs were over done that was heavily covered in sauce. I would of asked for a Manger but I truly was just ready to leave. I ask for the check from the waiter only to have a check filled with everything I ordered but did not receive (they were later removed.) Honestly, the waiter was horrible but I also place blame on poor management. Some things start from the top, and I didn't see a manager the whole time I was there. There should a Manager present in the front of the house if there is a wait. I really hope this review reaches the right person and for this restaurant to...

+() Customer Service is Wonderful !!!! The Hostess was Very Nice friendly seated everyone promptly and with a smile , I didn't catch our waitress name but she was Very Nice but unfortunately she was so busy with a Large Table group . That my empty water was sitting on the edge threw the entire visit , but it's okay customer service wins in my book. +(**) my wife and I never been to applebees we had seen on tv (unlimated Ribs , Buffalo bites , Crispy shrimp and Bottomless fries ) Everything was delicious surprisingly 1st plate is usually the largest so we started of with the Ribbs They were Fall off the bone ribbs , Meaty , Succulent sauce . The 1st time coleslaw was Yummy but tasted a Hint of apple and cilantro it was very Good . FRIES !!!!! they load u every round with fries I told my waitress No more fries lol but they came with again LOL THE FRIES to me where crazy addicting I think they put a Garlic , pepper salt season on the fries Supper addicting lol Any way 2nd plate I tried Shrimp which was DELICIOUS !!!! NOT OVER WHELMING crust it was NICE and CRISPY and the shrimp was CLEANED OUT GOOOOD! NO TAILS AND No poop !!!! +() gained extra star for that ! The chicken buffalo I hate getting places because the chicken is usually a discusting chewy chicken LOW QUALITY . But I was blown away the buffalo bites where MEATY , Crispy delicious outside , But very Tasty ! For $12.99 this plate was outstanding!!!!!!!! +(*) store was VERY CLEAN !!! & Restroom was CLEAN did NOT REACK of urine. Over all 1-10 i would Give them 10 THATS FOR SURE.

Order take out if you have to eat here. The service was horrendous. I was one person and couldn’t even get my water refilled. Not worth your time or money, was treated like a another Bill that walked in. Could had walked out without paying they chose to pay that little attention to me. I ordered the classic burger she asked if I wanted it pink or well done I got it well done and the burger came out cold. No napkins and never even got the chance to ask if ranch cost extra. They gave the people next to me a discount on there meal but didn’t even acknowledge me sitting there with a empty plate in font of me. The worst service you could imagine forget being rude these people don’t deserve you time. If you have to sit down do not tip they are not going to take care of you and the worst decision I made that day was paying for my meal after sitting at a table for 35 mins with no water my plates were taken but because my server wasn’t worried about her table no one else wanted to help me. They told me for 25 mins that they would let me server know about all my needs and the only time she came to me was to take my order. No napkins, water refills, ask if I was okay with my cold burger that o had cooked extra, absolutely nothing. If I could had left a negative tip I would’ve but the buser did her job and so did the hostess do it wouldn’t had been fair but I I guarantee that selfish server didn’t even tip out her Buser and her hostess so it never mattered in the first place.
