Satomi Sushi — Restaurant in Fremont

I'm not going to say anything about the service because we are in the middle of covid-19. So it'll be a four-star review, however, I have some feedback that will help make the take out pick up process a little easier.

Allow the people in line to come into the restaurant one by one to drop their name.

This way, they can wait outside the front of the restaurant until you emerge with the order and call out the corresponding name.

But, about the food. Everything was as expected.

However, instead of using the term seared for your salmon which has been flamed with a blowtorch, you should say that the salmon is flamed.

I ordered Andy's Roll and it just tastes of kerosene. If the menu stated that the salmon was going to be flamed, I wouldn't have ordered this roll.

Seared salmon is different from flamed salmon. I'm just explaining because it's a big deal for salmon lovers. I couldn't get past three bites.

But, the Fremont roll was hella good and the dancing spicy tuna was okay. I would have liked it to...

This location is so under staffed that they cannot keep up. I placed my order ahead of time and it said it would be ready at 6:45pm. I got there a little early to find a line out the door. I thought the line was for people waiting to be seated, but then asked to find out it was the line of people waiting for their take out orders. Once I checked in,I was told that my food wasn't going to be ready until 7pm despite my email confirmation. I then stood there to wait and discoverer that the issue wasn't with the food being made on time, it was with someone needing to package it. Instead of packaging orders as they came out, the food was just sitting there until they had a chance to get to it. The food was still good, but knowing that orders were sitting there ready while we were all waiting was insane. Please hire...

A rather simple Japanese family style restaurant. The ambience is no so conducive as you would see in typical Japanese restaurants. More to American style with simple setting inside. The golf is just average to my liking. All are in large size or jumbo size, ordered sushi platter and sashimi platter .. however sushi platter comes with sashimi y I think is duplicated since we have sashimi platter. The spicy tuna sushi was great and unagi sushi too.. the cut of the sashimi is in jumbo size which typically not the way the sashimi to be prepared . Sushi rice is way too much and you probably fill after 2-3 pieces. The tempura is ok as no seasoning of the prawn taste bland. Service was attentive and just an average American style...
