Fremont's Tool Oasis! Stepping into the Harbor Freight on Mowry Avenue in Fremont is like entering a well-stocked candy store for anyone who loves to tinker, build, or fix things! I've been a loyal customer for years, and this particular location consistently delivers a fantastic experience, earning it a well-deserved 5-star rating from me. First and foremost, the selection is phenomenal. Whether I'm looking for a specific specialty tool for a complex automotive repair, a general-purpose item for a home DIY project, or just Browse for inspiration, the Mowry store always seems to have what I need. From hand tools and power tools to welding supplies, generators, and even outdoor power equipment, their shelves are packed. I particularly appreciate the variety of brands they carry, offering different price points for every budget. Beyond the sheer volume of products, the organization of the store is excellent. Despite the vast inventory, everything is laid out logically, making it easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. The aisles are clearly marked, and the displays are neat and well-maintained. This makes for a much more efficient and enjoyable shopping trip, especially when you're on a mission. What truly sets this Harbor Freight apart is the customer service. The staff here is consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. On multiple occasions, I've approached an employee with a question about a specific tool or a project I was tackling, and they've always provided insightful advice and pointed me in the right direction. They don't just point to a shelf; they take the time to understand your needs and offer relevant suggestions. This level of attentiveness is rare in big-box retail and is genuinely appreciated. Of course, it wouldn't be Harbor Freight without the unbeatable value. The deals and coupons are legendary, and the Mowry store always has plenty of "Instant Savings" prominently displayed. I've saved a significant amount of money over the years by shopping here, allowing me to acquire tools that would be far out of reach at other retailers. And for their hand tools, that lifetime warranty is a game-changer – it gives you incredible peace of mind. Lastly, the checkout process is almost always smooth and efficient. Even when the store is busy, the lines move quickly, and the cashiers are friendly and professional. They seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs, which makes a difference in the overall customer experience. In summary, the Harbor Freight on Mowry in Fremont is a true gem. It's a clean, well-organized store with an incredible selection, fantastic customer service, and prices that simply cannot be beaten. For anyone in the Fremont area needing tools or equipment, this location is my absolute go-to. Highly,...
Read moreFremont story usually is my favorite place to look for tools, the majority of employee in Fremont are awesome but the store manager MIKE is the PAIN! My bad experience started from a regular return process, my purchased pump I got from this store 4 days ago, I brought back with opened box (only read manual for instructions), but he looked at the item by his naked eyes, insisted to say” this has been used.” He even did not look at any part of the body, inlet or outlet, or used with water marks, etc, I asked him to find 2nd opinion from other employee, but he refused. Therefore I filed complaints to the Harbor Freight Co. Customer Service, so they sent my complaints to Fremont Regional Manager Adam Luis to come to the store to verify the pump very next day. He thoroughly inspected and proved it is in new condition, and cooperated with a full refund. This should have made the store manager Mike feel very shameful how he takes care of the basic customer care; His careless, laziness, inefficiency, will lead the store? How lucky Harbor Fright is to run by this kind manager? MIKE as a store manager with such an ignorant attitude, hostile manner, Has caused me 2 trips back-force, meeting with his BOSS Adam to have this simple return resolved, but this bad experience has made me loosing the good image and faith in this store under his management. His insulting opinion towards to the new pump, by irresponsibly saying untrue” it has been used” , shows how ridiculous he is! I have made very straight forward comments on him to the regional manager that he is the fungus, and eye sore for the Fremont Store, He manipulated his own return policy, I wish all the shoppers would not have run into my bad experiences from this horrible...
Read moreI came to buy tools from this store on 04/21/25 and the shop was about to close and there was big line and I needed the tools that has only taken and some tools was locked the manager was helping on customer I waiting him on floor as soon as he got free I try handing him those tags so he can help get those tools to counter he told me give it to cashier that means I had to wait in line. So I had to pick the scanner tag. I had to ask another if he can give me chance just to pass over my tag so I can keep getting other tools since I had to buy about close to $1,000 tools as soon as the cashier gave the tag to the manager he was heading back to shelves to pick those tools I tried handing him the scanner tag so he can get those from back he just simply denied that he don’t have that tool without looking at what I was asking him this showed me that he was rushing to go home and to close the store but didn’t realize that one bad action lost his all sale this was very bad experience with dealing with such a rude manager where I gave more then $25,000 worth of tools in this company I just dump tool full of cart and worked away . At first why I had to give a cashier tag when he has to walk to cashier and pick those tag while he was already by the shelves that doesn’t make sense to me they making things hard for them self . This was just a waste of my time coming here siting in my car ended up order too many...
