I called in to order a cake, I wanted a smaller size but she said she doesn't make it, so I had to order a bigger size.. Which was fine with me, but one thing is... Don't sell me a week old cake!! The cake was so old and the frosting/whipped cream was hard.. I spend 39.99. Ordered a cake and 2 sandwiches.. And let's not talk about the sandwich.. I had always ordered from here and this will be my last time ever! I see more carrots in my sandwich then meat, I was lucky enough to get 2 piece of meat.. Customers service was very poor!! I'm Laos myself and I love supporting my own culture but to get rip off.. That's an big NO in my book! The owner disrespectful her own workers and treat them so horrible, I don't understand how and why she is still in business. No one should ever be treated that way!! And, to have her speak like that to her staff in front of people was so not called for and so unprofessional!! So here is what I done, I took off all the whipped cream on top and went out to buy my own whip cream and we did the cake myself, and it taste so much fresher then before!! Beware owner sells...
Read moreI was really wanting banh mi. Asked the owner if she uses pate and she said yes. So it was a long wait, although no one was in front of me. But I waited. After she's done, she tells me she has no daikon for the sandwich. Only carrots! I was polite so I said ok, that's fine. The sandwich tasted really bad! No usual banh mi deli meat added, only leftover BBQ pork that smelled bad. So much carrots too! Seems she doesn't know how to make banh mi. She also should have told me before I ordered that she doesn't have daikon. Anyway, it tasted bad because of the meat! My son didn't like it either and he's usually not picky ! I won't be going back! Very disappointed!
I usually get my banh mi at Pho #1. But I wanted to try other joints. I know why Pho #1 is...
Read moreI went here yesterday for some "Banh mi" sandwiches. It was pretty mediocre and missing daikon. The bread wasn't the freshest but wasn't super hard or stale. The sandwich was pretty simple; pork, cilantro, carrots, cucumber and red chili (because I asked for spicy). Sandwiches was also only wrapped in one paper sheet with the ends sticking out. Whether thats ok with you or not I find it a little off putting... This place was considered one of the BEST banh mi place, but this was years ago. I wouldn't recommend Banh mi here and for the price of 9$. Not worth it.
But I haven't tried their cakes and have heard good things about them(in the past). So if you are planning to get something from there maybe try their cakes(I don't know if they are...
