đ„ This restaurant is one of my new favorites for Mediterranean Street Style food in Frisco. I didnât even know that I was a fan until this place - thatâs how good it is.
A friend recently recommended that we give Spitz - Frisco a try for dinner. My first experience with them was dine-in. I was honestly blown away by the quality of food (i.e. it was all very fresh), portion sizes (very generous) and the overall hospitality. We came for the delicious food but stayed because we truly felt welcomed and taken care of. Big shoutout to the Monday night crew!
Also, all of the sauces we tried were a great accent to the bright flavors on the menu. My absolute favorite was the Lemon-Herb Tahini, but the Harissa, the Garlic Aioli - all so so good!
Spitz - Frisco has a little bit of everything, which is what matters the most when it comes to food. They were very accommodating. I think someone following a Gluten-free, Plant-based or Vegetarian lifestyle (or even a picky eater) could find something that they would enjoy here.
Vegan + Vegetarian options we tried and absolutely love: đ„ Greek Side Salad w/Tahini Lemon Dressing (+roasted corn!) đČ Remix bowl w/Falafel (sub lettuce for cabbage slaw) đ Mixed Signature Fries + Sweet Potato Fries w/Garlic Aioli đ§ Side Falafel w/Hummus
I'll definitely be back to bring my spouse and visiting friends and family because of the freshness and flavor of the food. The portion sizes required leftovers, and my Greek Salad kept well and I enjoyed it the next day for lunch.
Check out their menu online before you head there to dine-in, their beautiful food photos are what really got me excited to stop by. They also have a full service bar and a nice patio for warmer weather months. This is a great new restaurant in the Frisco area with Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-Free options at a decent...
Read moreIf youâre craving Mediterranean vibes with a modern twist, Spitz - Mediterranean Street Food in Frisco is your new go-to spot. This isnât your average gyro joint; itâs where bold flavors meet laid-back cool. Think vibrant bowls, hearty wraps, and crispy fries decked out in a Mediterranean remix thatâs as Insta-worthy as it is mouthwatering.
First off, letâs talk ambiance. The space is artsy yet casual, with a playlist that sets just the right vibe for scarfing down falafel while pretending youâre on a sun-soaked terrace in Santorini. Itâs the kind of spot where youâll want to linger, sip a local craft beer, and chat about your next travel adventure.
Now, the food. Their Street Cart Doner wrap? Life-changing. Juicy chicken and lamb, crunchy veggies, garlic aioli, and tzatziki all wrapped in pillowy perfectionâitâs flavor-packed yet light enough to leave you feeling virtuous. For my plant-based friends, the Vegan Döner Wrap is just as satisfying, with their roasted chickpeas stealing the show. Oh, and letâs not forget their fries. Whether you opt for Berlin-style Dirty Fries with feta, garlic aioli, and a hint of tangy pickled onion, or the straight-up OG fries, youâre guaranteed crispy, golden bliss.
Pro tip: Donât sleep on their hummus trio. Pair it with their warm pita bread, and itâs like a little Mediterranean party for your taste buds.
The cherry on top? The staff is super friendly, the portions are generous, and the price wonât wreck your budget. Whether youâre grabbing a quick bite or hanging with friends, Spitz serves up that perfect mix of comfort and adventure. 10/10 would...
Read moreUpon entering the restaurant, my party was greeted by the staff and they even explained to us the menu after we told them this was our first time. The atmosphere was very nice and colorful. The bathrooms were very clean and well lit. But I digress. We came here to mainly try the food.
I ordered the street gyro combo with the fried pita strips and I also got a falafel with hummus dip. The gyro was very flavorful. I got it with the beef/lamb protein. It was flavorful and well marinated. The fries on top were crispy and gave it a nice crunch. They definitely loaded the gyro with the ingredients. Only thing I might change next time would be to ask for a lighter portion of feta cheese. It added to the flavor but on some bites it overpowered the other flavors. The pita strips was a nice change to the usual fries. Since my gyro already had fries in it, I thought these would be nice to try. They were crispy on the outside and had a nice chewiness on the inside. They werenât fried like chips which I thought was very good. The falafel was crispy and airy which leaves you not feeling too heavy. The hummus was for the falafel but I ended up using it for pita strips too. The hummus had a nice flavor too it. Tasty but not overpowering.
To sum it up, all aspects of my experience was very nice and I would definitely come back to try the other items on the menu. They do have a bar and adult beverages available, but their basic drink options arenât very vast, but then again I mainly came here for the food and not the drinks. Definitely give this...
