Food Review: Beef Korean Spicy Soup (Yukgaejang)

As a lover of bold flavors and comforting dishes, I recently had the pleasure of trying Yukgaejang, a traditional Korean spicy beef soup that tantalizes the taste buds and warms the soul.

Upon first glance, the vibrant red hue of the soup immediately caught my eye. The rich broth, infused with gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes), promised a delightful kick. As I took my first spoonful, the aroma enveloped me—an enticing blend of spices, beef, and fragrant green onions that awakened my senses.

The beef, tender and succulent, was the star of the dish. Slow-cooked to perfection, each bite melted in my mouth, releasing savory flavors that complemented the spiciness of the broth. The addition of shredded vegetables, particularly the tender fernbrake (gosari) and shiitake mushrooms, added both texture and earthiness, elevating the overall experience.

The heat level was impressive yet balanced; it provided a nice warmth without overpowering the other flavors. Each spoonful was a delightful dance of spice, umami, and freshness, making it the perfect antidote to a chilly day.

The garnishes of sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds added a refreshing crunch, while a side of steamed rice served to temper the heat and soak up the delicious broth. I found myself craving more with each bite, the soup being both satisfying and invigorating.

In conclusion, the Beef Korean Spicy Soup is a must-try for anyone seeking a hearty and flavorful dish. Its combination of tender beef, vibrant spices, and fresh vegetables creates a symphony of flavors that is both comforting and exciting. I highly recommend indulging in this culinary gem—it’s a true testament to the art of Korean cuisine!

Food Review: Spicy Pork Kimbap

I recently tried Spicy Pork Kimbap, and it was a delicious twist on the classic Korean dish! The sushi-like rolls were packed with tender, marinated spicy pork that delivered a satisfying kick, perfectly balanced by the cool crunch of fresh vegetables like cucumber and pickled radish.

The seasoned rice added a subtle nuttiness, while the seaweed wrap provided a delightful texture. Each bite was a burst of flavor, with the heat of the pork complemented by the freshness of the veggies.

Perfect as a quick snack or a light meal, Spicy Pork Kimbap is both portable and utterly satisfying. I highly recommend it for anyone craving a flavorful and fun take on traditional...

I had a regrettable dining experience at TTO Seoul Korean Cuisine, which has left me feeling completely overlooked as a customer. I arrived at the restaurant at 7:40 PM, well before their closing time of 9 PM, hoping to enjoy a peaceful meal. Upon entering, I was greeted by a staff member who instructed me to sit down and wait for someone to take my order. As the only diner in the restaurant, I expected prompt service. However, what followed was a clear display of disregard and poor customer service.

For the next 25 minutes, I sat alone, menu in hand, waiting for someone to acknowledge me. During this time, I observed three employees who seemed more interested in closing duties than attending to a customer. Tables were cleaned, water was restocked, but not once did anyone approach me to take my order. I even attempted to initiate service by inquiring how I could place my order, only to be told to "wait" again.

To add insult to injury, a couple entered the restaurant and ordered takeout, receiving immediate service. It became painfully clear that my presence was an inconvenience to the staff, who preferred to prepare for closing rather than serve a willing customer.

I left TTO Seoul Korean Cuisine not because I wanted to, but because I was given no other choice. The indifference displayed by the staff was disheartening. It's a shame that a restaurant's success, which heavily relies on customer satisfaction, can be so easily undermined by poor service.

I hope this review serves as a wake-up call to the management of TTO Seoul Korean Cuisine. Potential patrons deserve to know what might await them. To the staff and management, I urge you to remember the basics of hospitality and customer care. No customer should have to...

We order from here all the time and their good luck korean soup is amazing, which we had for new years. Their food on average is pretty good but what I don't like and what almost sent me to the ER was the kimbap which has something soo insanely spicey, I was gasping for air and it made me choke. I'd appreciate it if the cooks didn't deviate from the recipe from the standard kimbap, which was not described as spicy in the menu description. Even my wife who is also Korean, was a bit much for her. She tested it to make sure and as previously stated. They added spice on a standard kimbap dish that we didn't ask for, which ruined my meal. I ordered something else and didn't eat it, worried that the cook is just throwing unnecessary spices...

Finally dropped by to give this place a taste. We ordered quite a few dishes. Ordered the ttobokki, dwenjang jigae, kimbop and galbi jjim. Ttokokki was good. A little on the sweeter side, but plenty of ttuk. Kimbop was good as well. I like to dip it in the ttubboki sauce for some added spicy kick. Dwenjang jigae was a big miss. Kinda oily and very very bland. Was very disappointed. Galbi jjim was good. Plenty of meat. Would get again. Overall this place is convenient to north Plano and in Frisco. Good place for a quick bite and from driving all the way to Carrollton where the food and restaurants are plentiful. Either way, the owners and staff were very friendly and nice. Give this place a try for some Korean food cravings.

I was in the area on a rainy Wednesday evening and am so happy I found this place! ❤️ The Chicken Katsu was cooked to perfection - so crunchy and flavorful! The special sauce that accompanies it is also super tasty and addictive! I loved every bite! 🥰 It is a great portion because it is also accompanied by small side dishes consisting of glass noodles, fish cakes, pickled daikon, kimchi and other delicious items. Highly recommend their hot tea - it ties it all together. 🍵 The ambience is cozy and ideal for any gathering. The customer service is wonderful. I can’t wait to come back to try their Bibimap and Kimbap. Excellent family-owned restaurant. I cannot recommend enough! ❤️🙌

I was pleasantly surprised that this new Korean restaurant in Frisco has some of the most authentic Korean food and delicious entrees. I ordered the squid and my wife ordered the bibimbap. The squid was cooked to perfection with no rubbery pieces. The sauce on the squid was extremely delicious and I use my wife's bibimbap sides to even make my dish more flavorful with lots of veggies. My wife enjoyed her rice and egg and some of the sides. The staff was very kind and they helped me with my order to make sure that my food was too spicy. I am definitely going to come back here and I'm so happy that there is now an authentic Korean place in a great location in Frisco Texas.
