Overpriced for the horrible food and drink (and even service) that this place serves up. We ordered the enchiladas and paella. We couldn't stomach either. At least the enchiladas looked decent. The paella looked like it was leftover food that had been regurgitated. We also ordered a house margarita and a caipirinha. The margarita was horrible. And they advertise the caipirinha as a Brazilian drink but it was so horribly sour with lime juice and water (tasted like premade bottled lime juice) and had no sweetness whatsoever. It didn't taste like a caipirinha or anything even remotely close to it that you'd find in Brazil or that region of the world. At least their soup was half- decent. And our waitress was sweet but absent-minded and absent most of the time. They have live music but the live music doesn't match the type of food and environment (it should be Spanish, Brazilian, tropical something better than this!) We walked by and have driven past this place so much and have always been so excited and curious about it. What a huge disappointment!!!! For a $70 meal, I would have expected way better!!! Oh and the waitress forgot to charge is the happy hour price for the margarita (which she brought up we didn't even bother) and her way to remedy it was to give us a couple bucks in cash. I...
Read moreWould not recommend going here if looking for authentic Mexican tasting food. This place was pretty good years ago. Went tonight and the menu is different, which I understand change is good, but not so much in the case. All the dishes we order had a hint of lemon. Ordered the chicken enchiladas and the tortillas were so thick it made difficult to enjoy the bite, tasted like it had lemon and hardly any cheese. The chips were stale and the rice & beans again had a hint of lemon. The “pico de gallo” was pretty much tomato marinera tasting. The queso fundido also had a hint of lemon and was chunky so it felt like hot cottage cheese. The nachos also tasted like lemon and the stale chips made it worse. Is lemon being used as a preservative nowadays?!? All four of us left our plates full and were offered an $11 discount. In the past, they would not have charged us for it, but ok fine COVID time so I did not dispute just will not be going back. The waitress was nice and understanding that she took our concerns and suggestions back to the chef. It was great under the old management, and yes rumors/truth was said about the old management but the food tasted 100 times better. Now if your coming to enjoy the ambiance and drinks then game on just not...
Read moreWent there last night. This place has seriously gone downhill in recent years. We were sitting fifteen feet from at least six employees and it took me five minutes to get someone's attention when we were ready to order. Not one of them would make eye contact with me and I didn't want to be rude and whistle or snap my fingers. The house margarita is junk. The $6 we paid was far too much, it was worth maybe two. I paid $3 extra for the house special salad to replace the one that comes with the meal; it was about six bites worth of spinach. My girlfriend had fish tacos, which were not even tacos. When the plate came, it was a burrito made with a whole wheat flour tortilla. The fish was so-so. The only good thing I can say is that my chile verde was excellent, a real great recipe. This is the only thing I will recommend at this restaurant. My gf, a longtime aficionado of this restaurant, will not go back again. They have lost our business. Me? I would only go back for the outstanding chile verde, made with beef in a great and flavorful sauce and...
