This place I discovered many years ago and immediately I was impressed by the service we received and how delicious the food looked and how amazing my taste buds were taken to a land where the food is exotic and heart warming. I recently visited along with a life long friend this place about a year ago and my friend was just in awe on how everything looked and the decor was inviting, cozy, and really felt like you had traveled just to have their well presented, prepared just right for you their delicious and amazing food. The service here is friendly and possibly the best new dining experience every time I visit with friends. They know how to welcome all their guest and they somehow know when to attend to you without ever feeling like you are unhappy or hounded by them. Recently went out to lunch with my favorite person ever, my sister my rock and my world, to this place. She immediately fell in love with the place and the dish we ordered was so amazing and delicious The Les Amis Platter. I highly recommend to everyone trying out Lebanese food for the first time ever. My sister was just excited and thrilled to have found a place she and her husband and their friends to come and enjoy the food and service. I would give this place a 5 but that would mean that this place is always going to e perfect 100%. We all know that is impossible because we are not all perfect. We are amazing and unique just like this place is to just make us feel the warmth and friendly feel of being in another land. Thank you Les Amis for the wonderful dining experience...
Read moreI called July 15th around 240ish to speak with someone in charge regarding an incident that happened there, nothing bad but as a compliment. I got hung up twice when requesting someone in charge, i though OK it was a bit rude, so I called a third time requesting the owner, and I got called a Faget, got told to get a real job, and got hung up after a malicious laugh at the end. I mean that was just uncalled for, I don't expect an owner or manager to talk to anyone that way, it was uncalled for, just as a heads up to all who support this place.. THIIS WAS THEIR RESPONSE Response from the owner 33 minutes ago Hello, I just listened to the recording of the call, you said you “worked for Goggle with the “reputation department” asking for business after the employee told no thank you pls do not call back you keep calling and asked the employee to put her mom on the phone. Please get a real job
not how the conversation went who ever you are... I have the recording as well, I will post it.... I asked for the owner, I would never disrespect anyones mom, so please get the facts straight, regardless. if he did not understand me there is a language barrier, obvious to note, whatever the case, dont call anyone a faget, we can go with the pride community who has huge impact in Los Angeles, Would not like for your business to loose credibility, so Ill leave it with this..just learn to be nice, specially to your customers..... they make who you are as a business..... RESPECT... not a hard word...
Read moreGrace C. met here for lunch before watching 'Into the Woods' at the Plummer Auditorium. The menu is Lebanese food with items like shawerma, shish kebabs, hummus, and falafel. I probably should have gotten the chicken but I opted for the salmon cous cous salad since I was trying to opt for a healthier option. The lemon and garlic spiced salmon was flaked into a mound of Israeli cous cous with tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and onions. The overall dish was lemony since it was dressed with olive oil and lemon juice. It was overpoweringly tart. I wished for some balance of flavors but all I could taste was lemon and not in a good way. I was glad that the salmon wasn't fishy but I would have liked it to have been a whole piece rather than flaked apart. It almost seemed like it came from a can. Grace opted for the shawerma chicken wrap and she commented that it was a little small on the portion but I told her that it was the appropriate amount of food. I tried a piece of the chicken with the garlic sauce and it was pretty good.
The service was ok. There was maybe 2 other parties in the restaurant when we arrived. The waitress took her time to bring us menus. We opted for water and our chosen entrees. There's a free appetizer with the purchase of two entrees (platters) so my salad didn't count. Oh well, next time maybe. When we needed to leave we went to the front to pay since we didn't want to wait any longer for the waitress to return. Parking in the lot is free...
