I usually stop at BK in Piedmont, but today I was in Gadsden so I pulled into BK. I was third line at the drive through, and the person who was ordering kept gesturing and talking, over and over. Sometimes she would stick her head out the window, talk and talk and gesture, then disappear back into the car. After several moments, the cycle would begin again. Good grief, I thought at the drive-thru you're just supposed to pick something off the menu and pay, not direct a symphony of some sort. Eventually, and I mean after several minutes, that person finally pulled ahead to the main window. Finally the second person in line was now next, but the poor lady sat there and sat there and sat there, and sat there! I could see her sitting there but she wasn't talking; she was just patiently waiting for several minutes. Behind me one car after another started to pile up behind us with no relief insight. After quite some time, which is totally unacceptable for a fast food outfit, I just couldn't wait any longer. I could have gone to waffle house and ordered an omelet by this time. I finally pulled out of the line despite being second and as I swung around I was surprised to see how many people had actually piled up behind me trying to get their own fast food. Anyway I left and never got my food. I don't suspect I won't be going to the Gadsden Burger King...
Read moreHow does Burger King remain in business? Seriously! Their food is awful. A few months ago we visited the Burger King on Rainbow Drive in Rainbow City, Alabama. We ordered a Whopper with cheese meal and it was so bad we simply couldn't eat it. The hamburger patty was neither fresh nor hot and the bun was dry and hard. We threw our food in the garbage and bought lunch at a chicken store closeby. Today, we decided to give the Burger King in Gadsden, Alabama, on East Meighan Boulevard a try because we remembered how good Whoppers once were. Boy, were we disappointed! After ordering from the sullen cashier, we awaited our food, hopeful it would be good this time. Again, the meat patty was neither fresh nor hot. It was readily apparent that both of the Whoppers we purchased had been prepared quite some time before we arrived. They tasted so bad we could not eat them. We threw them in the garbage and purchased supper from a nearby Chick fil A. Honestly, it seems one would really have to try in order to make food this horrible. I realize it's a fast food burger place and one cannot expect a high level of culinary talent, but come on! It is, after all, just a burger. One would think you could at least make it edible. But it's Burger King, so I guess...
Read moreWorst visit I've ever had through drive-thru. First off, the line was wrapped around tailing the highway. We ended up getting to the speaker around 8am. Arrived in line around 7:30am. Woman over the speaker was rude as hell. Could hear her huff and puff after every question we asked about the items on the menu. Got smart with us when we asked if dine in was open instead of having to wait another 15 minutes to get to window. Claimed there was a leak in the roof (because it was raining today) and that it was causing problems with dine in and order times. Finally we get to the window around 8:10am. Get our coffee and two orange juices and 2 croissant meals just to find the coffee was luke warm and actually tasted like yesterday's coffee. Was absolutely terrible. We will never go back to this Burger King for breakfast ever again. We give it a 1 star for service and a 2 star for taste. Bk needs to offer more than just pork products for breakfast meats. Some of us do not eat pork, and it would be nice to be able to order a turkey egg and cheese or chicken egg and cheese croissant. You...
