Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Gadsden

I love Ross Stores! But from my experience, the Ross in Gadsden is a cut above the rest. The selections here are vast and the staff is helpful. During their reopening event, after being closed for safety measures, there were so many people there to shop. I drove up to see cars but not a line. There was staff at the front entrance directing traffic. They offered hand sanitizer and sanitation wipes at the front and let me know their precautionary measures as well as directives for a safe shopping experience. I went in searching for home decor. There were several marked down and clearance items. I found several things that I was looking for. The checkout line, although long, was moving efficiently. The cashier checked me out in a timely, but not rushed fashion. She was polite and handled the transaction smoothly as if I was the only person in the store. I used to shop at this Ross all the time. I went on January 23 for the big markdown sale where my mother and I were really only wanting to find lick mats for our dogs. We went over to the pet isle and nothing had been marked down so we waited while the employees literally blocked off the isle to where we couldn’t get in. Then proceeds to tell us it’s going to be a while since they have to mark everything. My mother walked to the next isle while i waited with our buggy, the employees proceed to talk bad about her right in front of me. They also were talking bad about all the customers that came in that morning, saying it was stupid that we came in since they do markdowns every monday, and the customers “almost ran over an employee” I was there, no one almost got ran over. Great customer service . 😁 The only thing I wasnt happy with is this store always I seems to never have much to choose from. In a couple of the departments compared to other Ross stores I shop in. Very little in home decor, candles bed and bath Only few styles of hand bags and totes. Make up very slim in stock along with hair products. Which would be why they never have a good variety of clearance if they are limited on their merchandise. No complaints on the clothes has alot of mercha both in female...
