Iāve been to Dick Mondell a handful of times now and, although the prices are high, Iāve also always had a good burger and ice cream sandwich. This evening I ordered an ice cream sandwich, and when I went to eat it on my way home I noticed the package was unsealed and the ice cream was a bit melted. I know I probably shouldnāt have, but I tried a little bit of it anyways - it was badly freezer burned and tasted horrible. I brought it back and explained that the package was opened and it was freezer burned. The manage said all of them are open like that because they āseal them in houseā, to which I responded that every time I have gotten one in the past it has been fully sealed. He got one out of the freezer that wasnāt sealed, showed me it, walked into their side building, and then walked out with another one for me. I thought it looked sealed because the plastic was folded over so I drove away, but when I was home and went to open it I noticed it was also not sealed - and it tasted even more freezer burned and inedible than the first one. Kinda skeptical that he just folded over the second ice cream sandwich he showed me when he was in the other room... but overall really bummed with the managerās standards for what I thought was good quality ice cream. Probably wonāt be back for a while, and definitely wonāt be getting their ice...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDrive thru staff was incredibly rude. I didnt have enough cup holder space for my drinks, so I poured out the melted ice of a drink left over from lunch. The drive thru attendant, who rolled their eyes as I pulled in, ask what I poured out, I explained what it was, and was told in a very āKaren-esqueā fashion to ānever ever do that againā bc it āmade the ground stickyā. She then slammed the window.
First, melted ice, even if it was from a soda, isnāt going to be anywhere sticky enough to illicit that response from anyone. Second, I didnāt pour it in the kitchen, the dining area, or her lap; I poured it in a drive thru, which judging from the amount of oil and various other stains isnāt cleaned super regularly. Which is understandable, bc itās a freaking drive thru, but if your staff is gonna act like itās marble floored, maybe actually clean it. I love your restaurant, and have recommended it to anyone in the area. I canāt do that now, I wouldnāt risk a friend being subjected to that level of treatment. Iāve worked in retail my whole life, and I completely understand being annoyed by customers, but this was honestly the weirdest experience Iāve ever had at...

I am a big burger fan especially bacon burgers with cheese. You can keep all the rabbit food I take my vities! And that's exactly what I did at D Mondell's. The menus kind of funny because the first menu item is "The Big D" It's a two patty burger with lettuce, onion, and special D sauce. It is creamy and delicious. I had the Big D my wife had the Little D with a large fry each and walked away under $25 bucks. The burger was delicious You don't find too many burgers like this anywhere. Definitely be back here again when we have a craving for another burger! Nice job D...
