Stopped in on Friday eve at 8:40pm. Was served a turkey club which was below average. We were unaware nor informed thar they closed at 9pm. We sat down to eat after I returned a vegetarian chile that tasted horrible . At 9:pm the lights flickered and we were told by kitchen staff (in a rude manner as if we were street thugs) "Time to go, yo gotta go". Me and my wife are over 60, we were humiliated and harassed by two young men. Neither one of us finished our food, which was left at the table. Spoke to MNGR, Issiah(young man). I reminded him that customers should not be treated in this fashion. And if I would've have been reminded that we would be rushed out at 9pm, I at least have an option. Isaiah unlocked the doors to let us out, not offering our money back for our unfinished meal which was left on high top table. Walking toward our car. this young man unlocked the door again and shouted " yall left the plates on table, Couldve cleaned up at least ". Not only were we harassed, but felt like a mob scene and we were verbally attacked ". There was no control on site by young manager of their employees, nor , it seems like any training on sensitivity or customer skills. I will be writing corporate office . Good luck McAllisters @ 618 NW 60th st. There needs to be alot addressed here. BTW, reviews are just a tool. But over 15-20% of total reviews are average or below. Patrons, DO NOT EAT HERE, UNLESS YOU WAND BELOW AVERAGE FOOD. FAST FOOD CHAIN WAS MUCH BETTER, FAST FOOD I SAID!...
Read moreWalked in with my mom, who is disabled and utilizes a walker. No one said even hello. We chose our own seats as no one came to assist us. We waited and waited and waited... Finally went up to the counter to find out what's up. I was informed that there are no servers and you must place your own order. Fine with me, but they could've had the courtesy to tell us as there were no signs that tell you that. The "workers/non-servers" had walked past us multiple times without so much as a head nod. When the food was done ,I went to retrieve it but as there were no trays to carry the food I had to leave the drinks and come back for them. For the life of me I don't know what the "non-servers" behind the counter was thinking but she got a bit uptight that I hadn't carried the drinks with me on the first trip. I responded to her that I only have 2 hands but if she wanted those drinks at my table any faster than she'd have to carry them herself or I was gonna have to make 2 trips. Needless to say..... Those drinks stayed in the counter until I came back to get them.
Also... We were the ONLY customers there and there were 3 " non- servers" in the public area (not I. The kitchen".
The food was DELICIOUS!!
Too bad we had such a bad taste in our mouths from the lack of service.
I still have zero idea why there was a tip jar on the counter.
Again...if your not gonna dine in and order out...the food...
Read moreI just wanted to extend a great amount of gratitude to this establishment. I have eaten at this McCalisters many times before and I have always been pleased with the food. Whenever I order food off of BiteSquad I always include the message of "no plastic bag, no straw, and no utensils" just trying to avoid plastic. I do this with a lot of places I order from by the way. I just received my order and it was packaged perfectly. They just made the switch the cardboard to go boxes which is amazing! The worker who put my order together made sure to avoid the straw, utensils, and the bag and used a paper bag instead. I know this may seem silly, but when you are trying to avoid plastic in a plastic dominating world, you take all the gestures you can get. I wish I knew the name of the worker who did this for I am so grateful to finally have a perfect meal with very little plastic! Now if they could just change their lids on the mac n cheese it would be plastic free. Anyway, I am so happy to be a customer here! Also, food was great, always has been! (My order number was 10084, ordered at 8:00 PM through BiteSquad on March 26th - just in case the worker can be found...
