First of all I wanted to say the food was not bad at all. Me and my mom were planning to go out for a mom and son date. We got the the restaurant and we asked to be sat in the outside patio area. We sat and waited about ten minutes for a server to at least acknowledge we were in the restaurant. A woman server was also in the outside patio area, we thought she would be the on attending us but she wasn’t. That’s fine but it would’ve been more than nice to at least acknowledge our presence which she did not do, she didnt even come up to us to ask How we were doing. A server finally comes up to us, he doesn’t introduce himself and at least didn’t even ask how our day was going, he came up to us and automatically asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered our drinks and appetizers. About 2 minutes before our apps came we saw a mice go into a little hole in the patio. My mom asked if I wanted to leave because obviously that is disgusting, dirty, messy, and very uncomfortable. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I said no it’s fine. We then order our entre which was a California club pizza which was very good. At the end of finishing our meal 2 mice going flying into the restaurant. We told the server and the server told us he would bring a manager out. Note that when we told the server he didn’t even seem to care what we were talking about and just said he would get a manager just to get us over with. The manager comes out and asked what was the problem. We explained to him what was going on and his exact response was, “there’s nothing I can do about it, it’s summer and it happens. Sorry.” HORRIBLE AND VERY DISRESPECTFUL. NEVER IN MY LIFE AM I EVER GOING TO COME TO CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME TO THIS CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN LOCATION. This is definitely off our list to eat. No one will ever see me step foot into this California pizza kitchen location....
Read moreOverpriced for the quality of food served. Grilled chicken? Tasted like charcoal and cancer. Very unprofessional host at the door. Very unwelcoming and surly. When we walked in, he did not offer any greeting. Indeed, he did not say anything at all. I had to announce ourselves to him and declare our party for him. It felt unreal that anyone could be so incompetent. I started to doubt if he heard me because even after i spoke, he did not acknowledge that he heard nor looked at us. When he started taking out the right number of menus, it was apparent that he did hear. Why can't he offer an acknowledgment? Is he disabled? Then he starts walking off toward the back of the restaurant while grunting "follow me". So the guy can speak after all! He took us to a table, placed the menus down, then left. Are you KIDDING ME? WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THAT? This was a young black male with braids and glasses. I did not catch his name. I felt personally offended that the host is this disrespectful. We complained to the manager immediately. The manager said the right things, but I dont expect any change to happen. This place seems like none of the employees that work there cares. There is no order or sense of professionalism that California Pizza Kitchen usually exhibit. Which is why we came here, for the quality of experience we have come to expect. Only to find that this location and its gang of idiots fail to deliver on simple hospitalities!
Our server did not come by to check on how we were doing except at the end. He was another part of the problem. Brusque and uncaring, unattentive and unfriendly. For the price they were charging the other parts of the experience should match. The restroom should not stink of dried urine and the hospitality should redouble their efforts. This...
Read moreBe careful. I do not have any food allergies however per my own personal preferences I have chosen to no longer include dairy in my diet. My waitress who took our order seemed to be in a very bad mood the entire night but that was besides the point. I ordered a bbq chicken pineapple pizza with extra meat toppings and I requested it with no cheese (to be dairy free). The waitress did not ask me if I was ordering dairy free because it was a food allergy or not and simply assumed that it was. When my pizza came out it seemed great. 2/3rds of the way through the meal however I discovered that there was actual metal baked into the dough on the underside. In the photo I uploaded you can see the large piece which I pulled out of one slice and I also took photos of a other slice which also had metal baked into the pizza. When the angry waitress returned to hear what I had to say, she acted rude, pretended like it was no big deal, and claimed that because I ordered the pizza with no cheese, as dairy free, that that was why they used aluminum under the pizza. I explained to her how upset that I had just eaten an unknown amount of metal. She simply took the plate away from in front of me and said a manager would come to talk to me. (Horrible service). The manager Devaunte later came out to apologise and was very nice about the situation but I still am just in awe that there was actual metal baked into my pizza in multiple areas. Obviously their method at this California Pizza Kitchen for dealing with people's food preferences is dangerous and who knows how many other people have been or will continue to eat metal in their food because of...
