The best experience I had eating in Galveston. If I could give 6 stars I would!! Let me explain..

First, the service was excellent. Julmy came to our table right away and took our drink orders fast and brought out nachos and salsa promptly as well.

Second, the food was the best one we had in Galveston. My mom had Option #1 which came with chicken enchilada, a soft chicken taco and a hard taco. I had Option #2, it came with a hard beef taco, a soft chicken taco and something else that I don't remember well but it was all good. Both plates came with Rice and Beans and they were delicious. Overall lots of food and very very tasty.

Third, and this is the reason I say I'd give six stars because I left my debit card in the restaurant and I took a flight back to New York the next day so I couldn't come back to pick it up in time. I contacted the restaurant and Julmy very kindly agreed to mail my debit card back to New York City for me.

So I can say that Aceituno's was a 6/5 experience for me. The food was delicious, and people that work here are respectable and extremely kind. Thank you for having us and thank you again Julmy for your amazing above and...

I ordered breakfast burritos from here through Door Dash this morning for myself and my coworkers. It was a fairly large order for 8 people. When the Door Dash driver arrived to pick up the order she was told by the restaurant employee that someone had already picked up the order and it had been delivered. The driver called me from the restaurant and had me on the phone while she spoke with the restaurant employee. She confirmed with me that I had not received the order and relayed that information to the restaurant employee. To make a long story short, Door Dash canceled my order and refunded me because the restaurant insisted that my order had been delivered. I suggest that the restaurant put a policy in place to ensure the right driver gets the right order. I’m pretty sure that my order was given to the wrong driver or taken by the wrong driver. That could be an honest mistake, but the restaurant didn’t even offer to remake the food or try to find out what happened. Their only response was “It’s already been delivered.” So I won’t be ordering from them again or recommending...

We finally tried Aceituno’s on Broadway at 27th. Open from 6 am until 2:30 in the afternoon so get their early. Clean and bright. About 15 four tops that can be combined.

The table next to us was having breakfast and it looked great but I had to try to chicken mole enchiladas. My wife went for the tacos Al Carbon so we were able to try both chicken and beef fajitas. Let’s start at the top…

Great chips and a red sauce that had a great, fresh tomato flavor. There is also a green, jalapeño salsa that kicks up the heat. I would have been happy about either salsa but to serve both is great

Mole was fantastic, dark and smoky. Beef and chicken fajitas were both great and had beautifully grilled onions. Charro/borracho beans were great with a little cilantro. Guacamole and pico were both spot on. No liquor license but I did see a permit application in the window. Entrees in the $12 range. Burritos for less than $5. Nice addition to the...

Oh no no no no no!! They obviously don’t have a real oven. If they do, it’s turned off. Maybe a toaster oven & a microwave, a skillet and some pots with cold food in them. Chips cold. Taco & tostada, cold. By the time you added cream to the coffee, cold. Enchilada was a lukewarm, microwaved wad but the beans were at least warm. Menu said it came with pico de gallo and guacamole; it didn’t. Everything was lukewarm to almost cold except the pork chop and egg plate which WAS served hot. The green sauce was outstanding and hot, temperature & spice! We were the only table in there and the service was extremely polite, cheerful and pleasant, but very bad. I had such high hopes from reviews on here and testimonials from friends. Maybe a bad day but I won’t be back to find out. It was GROSS! I doubt this place will ever say, “Caution! Hot plate!”

We stopped by this place on our way back to Houston after a fun weekend & we were very pleasantly surprised. We LOVE authentic Mexican dishes & salsas, not like the ones most restaurants serve with their breakfast or food. If you like spicy - try their Huevos divorciados, the green sauce especially is good. Their Edna’s plate is reminiscent of a Salvadoran breakfast plate & it’s delicious when paired with that green sauce I mentioned. Everything was great. Our waitress Julmi was excellent & attentive. The restaurant is clean and everyone is friendly and helpful. Will definitely have to come back for breakfast & to try their lunch menu.

We found this restaurant by accident after driving around for an hour looking for a place for breakfast. It is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! The service is outstanding. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. The food is beyond perfect! It’s clean and colorful and priced right too. It’s our last day on the island and I wish we would have found it sooner.
