Writing this from mine and my husband’s joint account(this is the wife writing):
Came in on Sunday roughly around 7:45 pm parking was a complete nightmare, once we secured parking. We got there, waiting to be seated and the hostess tried to skip my family and I, as she tried to seat a party of 10 people despite us being there a min before they got there as we had to quickly move to the other side since there were customers exiting as they only had one entrance. Luckily the other people spoke up and said we were there before them and they were able to seat us. Our waitress on the other hand( we didn’t get her name) was such a nice person and super attentive. Our great experience with her(the waitress) completely made up for the lack of attention/professionalism from the hostess whom I assume is also the manager. Food was good. We placed our orders for us to eat in, though we had to place a to go order for our toddler and baby as they were asleep. When we got back to the hotel they woke up and got to eat their order( green enchiladas) and it was a descent sized portion to where I was able to give both of my small children a normal kids portion size. As the enchiladas we ordered for them to share was an adult sized portion. They seemed to really enjoy it though they’re...
Read moreWe went last night, very excited to have a new Mexican restaurant! It was late so we had chips, queso and guacamole. Chips were warm and sturdy, not too salty. The queso was not out of a can, really thick consistency. Salsa was great too, not too spicy. The guacamole was creamy; we devoured everything. We could have done without the second platter of chips but oh well.
1/5/2024,we split the fajita beef nachos, plenty for two. The meat was tender with great flavor, on a mound of chips with queso, refried bean, jalapeños and a scoop of guacamole. We asked for the sour cream, lettuce and tomato on the side. The tomato was actually pico de gallo, which we poured over the nachos anyway. Salsa was on the side too and not too spicy, with a hint of sweetness. Great service from Sharon at the bar. We got there around 6 and the place was packed by the time we left.update 9/25/25 went for the Thursday lunch special which includes a free margarita with enter. Our neighbors treated me and I tried the grilled lemon chicken with vegetables and it was fantastic. And of course added a shot of Cuervo to the free margarita for $4. One free margarita leads to….a 21/2 hour lunch! The steak Alfredo looked delicious as well. The jalapeno poppers were a little too hot for me but...
Read moreThe first mistake is Chips and salsa is on the "appetizer" menu. Uh, no sir! Salsa is a condiment needed for dry rice and meats along side of the meal and that's like charging for ketchup for your fries! My ground beef enchiladas literally had a teaspoon of grease pooling in front of my next bite on the plate and here I sit in the middle of the night with grease gut. Drain the meat...often! The queso topping on my enchiladas had some weird, thrown off chili powder flavor in it that just was unpleasant and very foreign. The lime rice was so dry without salsa, it was hard to swallow, but "looked" pretty. Look, folks, this is Texas, you don't have to get all fancy to make it taste good and we don't like creative, gourmet wanna be spice "additions" that wake us up at 2am to have the room spinning on us. The service was meh, she kept disappearing for long periods of time so, ended up not ordering any drinks due to that cigarette break in the back taking too long. Even though we Ubered, we didn't bother racking up a bar tab and we are those folks who over tip and drink on the weekends. This is a severe miss on Tex Mex or even a gourmet, specialty line up. Anyone charging for chips and salsa is a huge red flag in...
