UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER Letās get the record straight, because your response is full of outright falsehoods. I did have my food with me ā wrapped in a grocery bag that never left the floor and was never opened or consumed. You claiming otherwise is a complete fabrication. The only thing I drank was a bottled Ozarka water, which you know. To publicly misrepresent that as me ābringing in and eating outside foodā is dishonest and misleading. You also claim my sister wasnāt there, yet she was in the vinyl room the entire time and never left. If you truly believe your version, then I invite you to post the security footage. I absolutely dare you to ā because it will show the truth. You also wrote that we āwere not patronsā of the business. That statement makes no logical sense when my sister was actively shopping for records in your establishment. Furthermore, you would have no way of knowing what we may have purchased or consumed elsewhere on the property. Your explanation that this is ānot a public loungeā also misses the point entirely. As paying customers in the building, I had every right to briefly sit and wait for my sister while she shopped. That is normal, reasonable behavior in any retail environment. Since when is it a problem to quietly sit and wait for someone while they browse? That logic makes no sense at all. How would you even know what we purchased at the front or whether we had just come from eating there? You wouldnāt ā which makes that statement not only wrong, but absurd. What youāre calling ānormal customer serviceā was actually you repeatedly questioning me, watching me, and making assumptions that you didnāt make with anyone else. Thatās exactly the behavior I described, and I stand by every single word. What concerns me most is not the incident itself, but your public response. As the owner, choosing to reply to a customer complaint by distorting the facts, denying lived experience, and deflecting accountability is deeply unprofessional and, frankly, alarming. It validates the very issues I described in my review. Lastly, your suggestion that my statement āthis isnāt the endā was a threat is not only inappropriate ā itās a deliberate mischaracterization. Expecting accountability and transparency from a business is not a threat ā itās a right. I stand by every word of my original review. Your response has only confirmed why it needed to be written in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere are many places that sell desserts on the island, but this one is by far the most walkable, friendly, and convenient of the ones Iāve visited.
The ingredients of each item are quality, thereās a wide range of sweets you can pick up quickly, and the ambiance and staff are super chill, conversational, and friendly. I highly recommend the Key Lime Cheesecake and the Cow Patty Crunch ice cream. There are special deals throughout the week, and they often have something new to try.
Also, donāt forget to check out the attached art gallery! If you like searching for treasures, you may find something that piques your interest.
If youāre a tourist, this place is across from the Rosenberg Library, First Lutheran, and near the Post Office, City Hall and several other notable locations and restaurants, so you can easily tour the downtown area of Galveston from here, or make it a stop on the way to the cruise ships.
Anyway, cannot recommend this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat an experience! Cool Cow Creamery is a MUST while youāre on the island. Not only the delicate treats, the phenomenal customer service, but the atmosphere and art!
The fresh pastries made by a German baker are divine! The ice cream is so smooth and delicious. Itās very kid friendly with lots of art on the walls, abundance of selection of snacks/sweets, and a cute cow coloring station. They also have some snacks like fresh popcorn and pretzels. A huge case of cold drinks, and a beautiful coffee bar. Next time Iām getting a coffee and a danish - the perfect pair! They also have a punch card for a free ice cream after your 10th order. What a perk!
We came late so the upstairs art gallery was closed but I canāt wait to explore it next time at an...
