The employees at this location are some of the nicest you will find anywhere! They give AMAZING customer service, and really go above and beyond in positive community relations. I cannot say enough good things about the employees! There are monthly poetry-reading nights, where folks come from all over to participate in!! It is also part of the "ARTWALK," which means that it display collections from artists, which changes every 6 weeks! Oh, and remember that it's a PUBLIC HOUSE, which means that there are tons of board games-great for group outings!! It is pet-friendly, with a water bowl near the door for your FUR-BABE!! This place is the best! The atmosphere and employees are great! They have an awesome beer and wine selection and an array of non alcoholic beverages as well, such as coffee, hot teas, sodas, sparking water etc….pizza and snack options. Wednesday nights around 8:30pm is Sidewalk Sessions. You can grab a drink from the Proletariat and sit in a chair against the building and watch musicians perform across the street. It’s a win win! One cool thing about this place is that sits below the artists lofts called NHAL (National Hotel Artist Lofts), housing some of Galvestons most creative community.
