Oh my gosh, let me start by saying that my friend and I, just two people, were seated at a high-top table. It took them an astonishing SEVENTEEN MINUTES to even ask us for drinks! By that point, we were already certain about our orders. We decided to go with a 2 for $25 skillet steak, opting for a rare-medium steak. The server then inquired if we wanted shrimp added to our steak, and we simply replied, “Just what comes on the steak.”
I had requested a water, but when it arrived, it had an odd taste, as if they had mixed Sprite with water. To make matters worse, our food took another thirty minutes to arrive. When it finally came, it was accompanied by shrimp and an additional sauce. Surprisingly, my steak was cooked almost well done.
I had specifically asked for ranch dressing, but it took the server a whopping TEN MINUTES to bring it out. By that time, I had finished my meal. To add insult to injury, I was still charged for the ranch dressing.
After we finished our food, we stacked our plates and moved our drinks forward. However, we still had to wait almost half an hour before we could cash out. Despite the frustrating experience, I decided to leave a tip, even though I should have left nothing.
Oh, and let me mention that the tab was a whopping $49!!! Even though we only ordered waters and the steak meal 2 for $25 we wanted, we were charged $5 per plate for the shrimp and sauce that we didn’t even ask for. It was clear that they had mistakenly added these items to our order because we asked only what comes on the steak, and we ate them because we thought they were included with the steak. Obviously not, almost two hours for this bad service. Applebees do better.

Read moreOur server Lili was wonderful! She turned in our order immediately. I had ordered Longusland Ice Tea. Our salad came which we enjoyed, and Lili took the plate away...still no cocktail but the bar tender was at the bar chatting with another customer. We are now 24 minutes into the meal...no cocktail. Then, I noticed she was making it. She then sat it on the bar but didn't deliver it for 10 minutes. When it arrived it had sat so long that the yellow sugar had melted down the glass making it very sticky and difficult to pick up. Since it had set on the bar so long it was very watery. I mentioned my concerns to the manager but other than saying, "so sorry", nothing was done. That's a shame. We usually go to Old Chicago after errands but, I asked to go to your restaurant. If I'm going to spend $60-80 on lunch, it WILL NOT be returning to your place. I know losing one customer who also tips exceptionally well, doesn't meddle with your bottom line but knowing that you hire individuals who apparently are not proficient in their assigned position, eventually will hurt your restaurant's bottom line and reputation. We were trying to order for four people and half way through she walked away never saying anything to us then when we tried to get her attention she put her finger up with an attitude like wait so we did when she finally came back she came back with the check and we said we weren't done ordering she got upset with us. When we got our food it was someone else's food and she didn't even apologize just once againacted like we were an inconvenience. Most the time we love this place and thought since we were so far from home it would be a safe choice. Never again. The staff were all over the place nobody was in a good mood nobody smiled it seemed like they all hated the place. At least once we got our food and went back to the hotel it was good except what had gotten cold from going back twice to get the right food.
