I was coming through town and did a Google search on Salvadoran restaurants. This one came up so I gave it a shot and I was more than satisfied.
My wife of 30 years is from El Salvador, so I’m familiar with the food and I was not disappointed. I’ve had Salvadoran food in literally every corner of the United States, including the country of El Salvador. This was at the top of the list and that’s not stretching the truth.
Everybody was friendly and nice and yeah it helps if you speak a little bit of Spanish but it’s not needed if you know how to point and use your fingers. They can Speak some English but don’t be a Karen and leave a bad review because of it. My Spanish is limited, but it didn’t take away from the experience and getting my order made to perfection.
I started off with the traditional Horchata, which is a nice sweet drink. I then had a variety of Papusas, which is the national dish along with some fried yucca. I also grabbed a dessert quesadilla which is basically a sweet type of bread that is delicious.
If you’ve never had Salvadoran food then I would recommend you give this establishment a chance because it is one...
Read moreHere’s yet another honest review. Good restaurant, I got the mixed meal that came with beef, chicken, shrimp, berms rice, and some pick. Kid got the not sure how to spell but it started with a b. It was basically a taco with steak, small smear of refried beans, cheese and eggs. Sounds weird but it was really tasty, and they gave her 4 of them. It could easily feed 2 adults. We also ordered the queso, it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Only down side of the food was the meat was a little over cooked for my taste. I think it’s a cultural thing. There are 2 sauces you can get, a red one and yellow. The yellow is hot, and the red one is tomato base but good, better mixed with a splash of the yellow. Not all of the employees don’t speak English, but we worked it out nevertheless, with great service, plus the prices was right. If I find myself in the area hungry again, I would definitely come back, and would try that quail or fish. If ya like the honest reviews please follow me for more of my...
Read moreWe kind of fell into this place on accident but we were glad we did. The young lady waiting on us didn't speak very much English so there was a lot of pointing and such but we got everything that we ordered and a little more. We started off with the Loroco and cheese and pork and cheese Pupusas and they were delicious. The size was just right for appetizers and the house sauces that they brought with them were super flavorful but not overbearing with the heat. Next I had the pork ribs in green sauce which reminded me of oxtails and rice. I mean that the green sauce was like a thing succulent gravy with wonderful flavor and the pork was chunked(with bones in it but that was expected) and was super tender. My friend that the fried plantains and cream and the little bit that he let me try it was delicious. We definitely did not leave there hungry and we didn't break the bank either. We really look forward to...
