So I had a very bad experience here years ago with a hair in my tempura fried roll. It was fried into it, but it was in the last piece I picked up so when I brought it back they looked at me funny like "well you already ate it", but the hair was at the end with the shrimp tail and I always eat the piece last. They comped my gyoza to make up for it which was nice, but I was completely turned off from the hair and the attitude of the staff. I decided not to eat here anymore at that point.
Fast forward about a decade to a couple of weeks ago, and my kids really wanted sushi. I noticed that the restaurant is completely different than it used to be and it was open kind of late so we gave it a try. We walked in at 9:40pm, we ask for a table, we are told we can not dine in because they close at 10:30pm. Disappointing, but ok. We order for take out. I order 1 roll for me, 1 roll each for my husband and 2 daughters, 1 roll to share, gyoza and takoyaki. The bill was pretty cheap only about $70, but I thought that was because of the all day happy hour where you buy one roll and get one half off. Nope. It turns out that even though the host stood right in front of us taking this order and turned right around to put it in, she left off 2 of the rolls, and did not apply the discount. After we got the food I noticed that my youngest daughter's roll was not there and not on the ticket so I went back in to order it, I didn't notice that MY roll was also not on the order so I didn't order it and I didn't realize it until we got home. So after we ate everyone was still a little hungry because we thought there'd be an extra roll. Any way, I'll give it another decade I guess. Or maybe this place just isn't for me, but I do like the food.
Tldr: I've personally had bad luck with this restaurant, but the food is pretty good. The service, for me, is...

Read moreI would leave 0 stars after tonight if I could. We checked in at 8:00 PM tonight and their male front desk employee said it would take 40-45 minutes for a table. Not a problem. We head back into our car and check back into the front desk at 8:30 for an update and the same front desk male employee mentions “oh your party is next.” We decided to head back into our car and wait until they called us with the table. It’s 9:00 PM and no call yet. Finally at 9:10 PM they call in and say “oh sorry it looks like we will no longer be able to accommodate you due to now limited items available”. HOW INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL to have customers wait an hour and 10 minutes and then shun them away despite us checking in with front desk employees not once but twice for any update.
We spoke with the female manger who could care less despite us mentioning the time we waited, despite us mentioning how we checked in not once but twice and despite us asking what options they could do for us after we had just waited for an hour and 10 minutes outside their parking lot. Simply a “sorry there’s nothing I could do for you. Maybe a free appetizer on the house.” You’ve gotta be kidding me.
Not only will I never ever come back here but we will ensure to let our friends and family in Gardena, Torrance, El Segundo and Redondo Beach to never stop at this location for the lack of professionalism and un carelessness I received tonight.
I used to be a loyal customer to this business. Warning - please take your business elsewhere and notice how many other recent and bad reviews they now have on...
