We went to Flapjack's because of the good reviews I had seen about the place. The good reviews must have been from another location. The hostess wasn't friendly, took us to our table, turned around, and walked off without saying a word. We were like...alrighty then. Then....the waitress....she wasn't nice at all. She must have had a BAD day! I heard another table complaining to the manager about her as well. My coffee wasn't hot. It was barely even warm. I kindly asked her if they had some freshly made coffee because it wasn't hot at all. She SNATCHED my coffee mug off the table, and when she brought it back, she spilled most of the coffee on the table because she slammed it down. Didn't say she was sorry, didn't offer extra napkins... nothing. Then the food came.... we didn't have any silver wear (hostess should put on the table when they seat you)....got the silver wear.... then, we didn't have any pancake syrup..... at a pancake house .....that should already be on the table. There was a bottle on the table next to us, so I grabbed it off the table. Food came out SUPER quick, but it was cold. It would have been good if it was hot. Will never go to another Flapjack!! I know that was just one experience, but it's one that will stick with me. Will choose another pancake house. I'm not one to do reviews and definitely not a negative review. But this experience was that bad....
Read moreI have almost been to all the Flapjacks in the Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge. I still have a couple new ones but this location is my favorite one so far. Why? The setup of the restaurant is not so packed and more spread out. The decor on the walls, there is an actual gaming area for kids or kids at heart. You will also find a large merchandise store to the left when you come in the front door. The parking lot has plenty of room to park unlike some of the other locations. This one is just coming into Gatlinburg and has a nice hotel right next to it too. As I walked in the front doors I noticed the larger reception with cabin feel as the signature of this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and welcoming taking me straight to a table with a view of the nice woods outside. One of the biggest reasons I come to this restaurant is the cinnamon roll gluten free pancakes 🥞😋. I never have to worry about having a cross contamination or a server not knowing what gluten allergy is. Even people that are not allergic to gluten love these pancakes they are that good. 😋 The drizzled white cinnamon icing and lots of walnuts on top. Just look at the pictures 📷😍. I highly recommend this restaurant and specifically this branch but all of them are good. Give them a try you won't be disappointed. Tell them I sent...
Read moreSOLO FEMALE TRAVELERS BEWARE! This is the worst service I've EVER gotten at this location. The pancakes did taste like the box said "add water" the skillet didn't feel like real cast iron, Which is the whole point of getting a skillet meal. My skillet meal had something mushy and green in it and the server was like "oh looks like onion" 🤢 they didn't serve the pancakes with butter so i go to use salty butter from pkge. They brought out the replacement meal and i think the Chef is allergic to seasoning. The hash was undercooked and old. Nothing ketchup and pepper could fix. I had to ask another server for things bc my server was MIA most of the service. But the other server didn't put whip on the hot chocolate like normal. I never got a "how's the meal" just a lot of awkward attempts at poor service. I've seen the table in front of me waiter more than my own. But mine did look chummy with the table with 4ppl across the room. Next time I'll drive over the mountain to Cherokee for a better breakfast!! The server is lucky she got the tip she got. She didn't deserve it. The hostess was the best...
