Easy to reserve online. Fairly priced. Very easy after-hours check-in procedure.

We rented the "mountain memories" cabin for 2 nights. The cabin was a little hard to locate, but we called the customer service number and they helped us out with better directions than the one they had printed out. I seriously recommend they print out a map of the directions, instead of just printed written directions.

The cabin itself:

Not clean - Cobwebs on the outside. Lots of hair on the bed sheet, pillows, washing machine, couches etc. Looked like the $100 cleaning and room prep fee was a total waste to pay.

Everything was in working order. All electric appliances, the jacuzzi, internet etc. Not bad at all.

Location: Only 10-15 minutes from Gatlinburg downtown.

View: Amazing - very well located.

THIS PLACE CAN RUN OUT OF WATER!! Apparently this only happens on Memorial Day, July 4th weekend, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years'. The weekends that matter most.

Here's what happened: Our cabin ran out of water about 9:30AM. I called the emergency maintenance number and they said they will forward the request. Water was flowing again after 20 minutes or so. One of the Diamond mountain managers personally came over and explained that when the water level falls below 750 gallons in the primary tank, it stops flow. He explained that if the county changes the law to set the limit at 500 gal., this won't happen. He was sorry this happened, and I understand his point, but seriously, a bigger tank should solve the issue.

Also - the pool table is so -so. And the pool cues are horrible.

I would give it 4 stars if the cabin was cleaner. I was not too unhappy about the water issue and the bad pool cues. But the cabin itself was not very clean. That drops my rating to 3 stars.

Overall, a fair experience for 6 adults/2 children.

Would we stay here again? Maybe - but only I get feel assured about a...

We stayed in the French Broad River Cabin! We typically take a trip somewhere in NC/VA/TN each summer to tent camp on the river. This property exceeded our expectations! We often resort to campgrounds and have found that we prefer something a little more remote. This property fit ours needs perfectly! Everything was exactly as described in the listing. We did not expect luxury with planning a camping trip but the little cabin was awesome. I am 33 weeks pregnant and wanted something with a little AC and not an air mattress. The rest of the family stayed in tents. The Queen bed was much more comfortable than expected & the kitchenette (and all supplies provided) were perfect! We loved the sheds and trees on the property as this provided a ton of shade and shelter from possible storms. We were able to move most of the belongings we were concerned with under shelter unlike traditionally when everything almost everything gets soaked. The property owner stayed in touch with me consistently and replied within 10 minutes. They even thought to add a cellular booster and wifi. We still stayed on our phones a limited amount but that was nice to stay in contact with them and our family at home. The outhouse had all the basics you need. We chanced kayaking from Wolf Creek bridge to the property and realized this was not a good section of river for smaller children and a Good Samaritan picked me up to grab our truck! The access to the river was amazing! We stayed in beach chairs while the kids played. We will definitely be back!!!

I have been very impressed with Diamond Mountain Rentals overall. The property owner for the property we stayed at was very quick to respond to any questions or requests we had and this has impressed us enough to go through not only this rental but other rentals with Diamond Mountain rentals...

We stayed in the cabin, "A Walk In The Clouds".. The only two good things I can say about this cabin is 1. The views! 2. The space and how big it was! I have multiple things to say about why the enjoyment was a bit hard.. Windows leaked, ceilings leaked, windows were cracked, ALL the beds are OLD and VERY uncomfortable (probably been there since the beginning if not older), one of the beds upstairs just completely fell on us and the wood and nails were exposed and sticking out, lower part of refrigerator was not cold, ALL shower knob were backwards, NOT enough towels, opening in ceiling were you can see up into bedroom above (no privacy there), other bottom bedroom the fireplace is opened into the entrance hallway (again no privacy there), NO WIFI, doors don't open and shut good, sofas were very very bad (sunk to the floor, we literally had to put pillows under the cushions so we don't fall onto the floor), NO trash pick up had to keep all trash inside for the WHOLE week, some burners broke on stove, rugs were OLD and dingy, SPIDER WEBS AND COB WEBS EVERYWHERE, front door didn't not lock, I have left the worse to me for last! There was noises coming from the attic the first night keeping us up... then we went to pull out the pull out sofas on the next night and found MOUSE DROPPINGS, then on the last night we found a mouse in the kitchen and it ran under the refrigerator!!!! There were dead flies in the chest a drawers.. I normally don't leave reviews but I felt for the money paid and the experience we received we didn't want ANYONE else to waste their money, time and vacation on this. We read the lease and it states you CAN NOT LEAVE ANY COMMENTS WITH THE OFFICE AT THE END OF YOUR...
