We arrived at the hotel, checked in and went to our room to get settled. Shortly after, we left to go walk the Gatlinburg strip. We were gone about 4-5 hours. We came back and saw that our hotel room door was wide open. We immediately called the front desk and it was the same man who had checked us in. He was rude from the start and asked if any of our stuff was missing. We let him know that we had not been into the room yet because we didn't feel comfortable. I asked him if he could check the cameras to see if housekeeping had been in or something of that extent, because we were 100% we shut and even pulled on the door to ensure it was closed before walking away. He told us we must not have shut it. He refused to check the cameras and kept putting us on hold and would give us attitude and acted like we were an inconvenience just like he did when we checked in and was rude to us then as well. Eventually he had just left me on hold and the next thing we knew he had walked up to the breezeway by our door while still holding the phone with me on hold. He was extremely rude still and still acted like we were the biggest inconvenience. I asked him for his manager's name and he refused to give it to me and told me I could go check the name plate on the front desk downstairs. I asked when she would be working next and he said he didn't know. We repeatedly told him that we were uncomfortable staying in that room and he never offered to move us to another room or anything. He said "well it seems like all of your stuff is there" and left it at that. Upon testing the door later in the night (we were too uncomfortable to sleep) we figured out that the door will shut and latch for about 10 seconds and even stay latched if you pull on it, but then it will randomly just pop back open. So for the night, we had to latch the bar and also push a chair up against the door in order to keep it shut because other wise it would still pop open to the extent of the latch. Upon checkout, we brought out concerns up to the manager at the desk and she did not care one bit either. She was a bit more friendly, but all she asked was "well was all of your stuff there?" Once we got back home, I contacted Expedia and told them everything and they tried to contact the property to approve a refund and the property told them that a refund was being denied because "WE NEVER BROUGHT ANY DOOR ISSUE TO THEIR ATTENTION." Which is a bold-faced lie. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. STAY AWAY. Stay ANYWHERE else. We were extremely uncomfortable, but with it being 11:00 pm that we got back and then about 2 hours of dealing with the front desk guy, we had no other choice but to just barricade the door...

We got a great spring break deal through Priceline. It’s about a 15 to 20 min walk to the heart of Gatlinburg. Saves on parking lot fees. We got a room deal that included hot breakfast each morning. Nice selection and seating area. Pool was indoor and heated and not very busy. Fire pit right outside of the pool area. The rooms looked to have been recently renovated and painted. Minuses: The hotel is right by a busy highway. It’s hard to sleep at night unless you’re already used to loud music and engines revving throughout the night. The hotel staff is not super personable. I called to let them know the pool area was out of towels and we needed some. The lady told us to come get them. I explained we were already wet and needed them delivered. (It was chilly outside and quite a walk to the front desk.) She hung up on me and reluctantly walked them down to us and did not say anything when thanked. The pool phone also does not work to even call for service or for an emergency from there if needed. None of the ladies (except one) really had customer service etiquette. No smiles or greetings. They didn’t look like they enjoyed their job at all. There was also a bit of mold in the ceiling in the bathroom and an old urine stain on the mattress pad (under the two sheets as if we wouldn’t lift them to see) in our room. It needs to be thrown away and not used at all regardless of whether or not they tried to bleach it out.
All in all, we would consider staying again for the right price. It is not worth...
Read moreNot too far from pigeon forge, rooms were pretty clean with the exception of milk and a sandwich still being in the fridge. Rooms had nice accent pieces and decor, beds were comfortable but could have used an extra blanket, the ones on the bed were pretty thin. Rooms were decent sized as well. Bathroom was nice, looked updated, they didn’t provide conditioner, not sure if whoever stocked forgot or that’s something they don’t provide, by the time I realized I didn’t have time to call and ask. Front of hotel is on a busy street, so it can get loud at times, no real issues when we went to sleep though and out the back we had our own private balcony overlooking the river, was very pretty and relaxing. Pool was technically indoors but it was almost in like a greenhouse like building with multiple windows open, it faced the street so was noisy. Had a balcony on the other side overlooking river, there was a fire pit however it wasn’t working, pool temperature wasn’t too bad and decent sized, nothing too special about the pool though. They had a few gym equipment, we were excited about the sauna that was pictured however that didn’t work as well. Check in and out was quick, breakfast was actually one of the better free hotel breakfasts we’ve had, sausage was good and had a little spice to it, the juice machine wasn’t working either but the breakfast area was clean, waffle maker had little bears which was a cute touch. I wish they would have had some of the amenities working and would have liked to have more time to check out area as we only stayed one night but would consider...
