Wow, where to begin...... My wife stopped here the week prior to our stop on 09/16/2023. On 09/16 we stopped and it was not very busy, got seated immediately and drink orders in. Drinks arrived and food orders were placed. We didn't have to wait awfully long but it was not as fast as other IHOPs. We asked for refills and more lemons for the water as the filters for what has to be some really potent "city water" must need changing. Those never arrived. Here comes the food, once they started putting it on the table we asked was this our order. My wife's order was only close to what she ordered because it was an omelette. Everything else about what they brought her was wrong. My order had gobs of gravy on it even after being very clear that I did not want gravy, not even on the side. My son's overpriced Chicken and Waffles were over done. I told them they could remake my wife's order if she wanted but I wanted mine removed from the ticket and not to be remade and served. After the bad water and then gravy dripping off my order I simply lost my appetite. A few minutes later they bring my wifes corrected order and shortly after that what I suppose was a manager came to the table and showed me the digital tablet with my order on it and started to defend the waiter as he "put it in correctly". She was correct on mine but when I pointed to my wife's order one line up it was clear that what was displayed there was not what she ordered. I was then asked "what do you want me to take off your bill?" I stated that I was only interested in taking mine off as everyone else was going to eat theirs and had no issue paying for the food that was being eaten. After paying for an omelette that once "corrected" was as high if I left my order on there we got up, payed the bill and left. My wife at this time told me that the service the weekend before was just as bad and they got her order wrong then as well.
Three strikes, with her twice and me once. That will be the last time.
Everyone was trying to be super friendly despite it being evidently clear by their body language that they were being overworked. That being said the lack of attention to what is being brought out versus what was ordered is poorly lacking and enough to make us decide...
Read moreWent to this location for the first time ever today. I understand it was busy and potentially short staffed, so I didn’t mind waiting 20-25 minutes for me and my partner to wait until being seated. We were previously informed that there would also be about a 25 minute wait time for food, unsure if the kitchen is short staffed or what. We were fine with the wait times for both.
I do have recommendations on how the layout of the restaurant was. I feel there could have been more tables set up on the left side opposed to just a wait area and check-in desk. There was plenty of space to set it up with more tables, include the check-in desk and add some seating for a waiting area. That’s just my opinion.
When we sat down, we noticed and overheard how there was one or two trainees in the building. It did not seem that they were being trained accordingly and were more confused than anything, as they had no guidance. It seemed the wait staff was confused in general, as far as what table got what food. It was not very organized by any means.
When we got our food, I ordered the southwest chicken bowl and it’s supposed to come with fresh avocados on top and a side of salsa. Neither came on the dish when it arrived, plus the meal wasn’t really hot. I forgot about the avocados to ask, until later, so I said forget it. However, I did ask for salsa - which ended up being marinara sauce or something. It was odd. Thankfully my pancakes were good, because you can’t really screw up chocolate chip pancakes!
My partner got the spicy poblano fajita bowl. It was supposed to come with fresh avocados, but didn’t. Also, a side of the cheese and we had to ask for that. We never got a refill for our waters and it was just chaos.
I am not sure I am likely to return to this location, as I was very displeased with the food and service. I felt bad for the trainees as well.
For a newly opened business, I believe that it’s important to be a little more organized. Finding workers to work is difficult at this time, but those who are working need to be better trained. They should know the menu better and make sure they are always checking up on their tables for...
Read moreSecond visit to give a second chance to No avail. It's No wonder this place is Always dead. The first visit thought the poor service may have been due to staff shortage although there were only approximately 4 tables to serve. This visit we waited 5 minutes for 2 servers to decide who's turn it was to seat us. We were never greeted mind you and not told to follow the server. We made the assumption to follow the one that irritated grabbed 2 menus and silverware. We were left at the table with no idea who our waiter/waitress would be, that someone would be with us shortly, or Anything. After waiting over 20 min of watching staff continue to pass us by I stopped one and asked if she knew who our waiter was... She said, Oh this is my section but I thought he had you. I said well can someone Get us? She said she would. We gave her our drink orders and food order, as we knew at this point what we wanted to eat. I then noticed 3 young men trying to get the waitresses attention only to be ignored. They looked at us and I asked them did they wait awhile to be served in which they said yes, over 30 minutes. At that point the table beside them chimed in and said yeah we waited 45min. I noticed the waitress come back with one of the young men's entree after the other 2 had appeared to have already eaten. I assume this is what they were trying to ask her. Poor kid tried to inhale the food he could while asking for a to go box for the rest because his friends were done. Wasn't until I contacted the Mgr on duty that service started to move a bit but customers around us continued to complain about the wait in a nearly empty restaurant with over 9 obvious staff on duty. The food was good but average, but with this nonchalant attitude for service, This IHOP...
