IHOP — Restaurant in Georgia

I arrived a little after opening, like 6:02am and the place was very quiet, which I enjoyed. My waiter/host was an older gentleman I recognize from other restaurants/establishments in the food service industry. He's very laid back with no animation whatsoever. He's like a blank canvas with no enotion. I ordered the egg white vegetable omelet with four strips of "crispy" turkey bacon and blueberry pancakes. Ice water with lemon was my beverage of choice. The overall appearance of my food was quite appealing and appetizing. The omelet temperature was hot, but the taste was bland, leaving me to add plenty of black pepper for seasoning. I've had awesome tasting egg white omelets and made great ones @ home, so I probably won't order theirs again. My turkey bacon wasn't "crispy", but chewy, so that was another communication fail or execution fail. The best portion of my breakfast was the blueberry pancakes, that was perfectly delicious. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the blueberry compote was not too sweet and just the right temperature and consistency. I honestly wish I would have had more than 2 blueberry pancakes. Overall, the visit was fine. It wasn't either memorable nor terrible. I'm glad I checked my receipt because the waiter accidentally charged me $2.19 for sweet tea I didn't order. It's goid to be observant. I left a monetary tip, but I honestly wanted to leave a verbal tip also. The jury is still out on whether this was a worthy $14 breakfast vs my $8 breakfast @...

I have been both an a guest and an employee at this place and I can honestly say that as a place to eat at its not too bad as long as you don't have to listen to the fight and cussing of the workers in the back otherwise good service however not a good place to work at tbh probably the worse job I ever had and I was a faithful worker who stood up for my job because it was my job on Albany hire on Facebook as an employee who is legally disabled I was not train but two appetizers on the menu and the days following I was harassed for not knowing what i was doing on the computer otherwise if had been trained I would have been fine. I seen people have drinks thrown on them and being threatened by other team members. But as a Customer just know this you will get good service but the servers you give tips too are being ripped off at the end of the day. Twice it happened to me at least including the day I was terminated for their failure to train me, I had been given 28$ in tips and I came home with under three dollars and a day when I got 45$, i came home with 25$. Otherwise as a Customer you get what you pay for bottom line including the tips you give every time you come. I am also kinda OCD so I was kinda grossed out when I was told to quit washing my hands as a server everyone I bussed a table because I was told that wastes time. My husband and I visited this morning. We arrived at 12:00 and didn’t leave until 1:30! When we were seated, we ordered our drinks and food at the same time and from then it was 1:15 before we were finished eating. So it took almost an hour to get our food. I ordered decaf coffee and received regular. I know the difference because I do not consume fully caffeinated drinks and I felt awful after drinking it. My mother in law ordered a southwest breakfast bowl that had avocados on top. The Avocado was missing so she asked for some. When she received it, it was brown and mushy. The server even asked if it was going to be okay, to which my mother in law replied, no. You can take it back. If you see that it’s gone bad why would you serve it? The server left it on the table! I ordered steak tips and eggs, the steak was over cooked and tough and my husbands omelet was cold but somehow over cooked. My husband said the spinach in it tasted like dirt and like they didn’t wash it before putting it in there. Over all I’m highly disappointed. Shouldn’t have waited as long as we did to end up getting such terrible food. We then waited after finishing another 15 minutes for the waitress to apply a military discount on our check.
