Hello all not long ago one of my neighbors posted on my neighborhood community page raving about Sunny's bagels. Saying that they were much better than Arts because Arts has too long of a wait time(I was born and raised on long Island. I spent 40 years of my life there). Many of the responses was for Arts I decided to give the benefit of the doubt and responded that I would give it a try. Sunny's is not far out of my way my place of employment is in the area. Here's my experience: I ordered six everything bagels and a small container of butter 17 dollars and change. I asked what the price of a dozen bagels are. A dozen bagels is $19 There was a little bit of a language barrier with the employee that was assisting me and required assistance from another employee. The employee that assisted stated the reason why I paid more was because there is an upcharge for ordering the same flavored bagels. She went on to say that they only make so many of each flavor a day. I did continue to move on to see how the rest of my experience went. I change my order to three sesame and three everything and was refunded the upcharge. I was never asked if I would like the bagels pre-cut. They mixed the everything bagels with the sesame. I was never offered any knives for applying the butter or napkins. I also noticed that they have day-old bagels that they resell as well. The day old bagels is a combination of everything onion and whatever else they had left over from the day before. Here is my opinion: when you run out of bagels regardless of what flavor you run out of you do not upcharge/ nickel and dime the consumer because you couldn't supply what was in demand. You charge the consumer additional for picking the same flavor, but yet you resell the left over so you're getting paid twice. A real bagel store would not mix everything, salt, onion, and garlic, with bagels that do not contain spices. At Arts you are supplied with napkins, plates, utensils to apply the butter and or cream cheese and they always ask if you would like your bagels pre-cut. I would like to also share that the bagels do not come close to a New York bagel. After the taste test with my co-workers, there is a bad after taste and the bagels are more flat and generic like prepacked store bagels. A big waste of time and money. Arts by far...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visit this bagel shop whenever I am in the area and will never be going back. Their bagels are pretty good however their service is trash. This is not the first time they have messed up my order but since this is not my first bad experience I figured I would leave a review. I ordered a Bacon egg and cheese bagel and a salt bagle with extra cream cheese. I got my meal Togo because I was on my way into work only to open up my meal to notice there is no bacon on my bagle. I kindly called up to let them know they made a mistake on my order and only gave me egg and cheese and no bacon and that it wasnāt what I wanted and that I could come back tomorrow so they could make it right for me. However it was not that simple the manager told me āshe did not hear me say bacon and only charged me for an egg and cheeseā so they couldnāt give me any compensation since they only charged me for egg and cheese. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Ex. If I asked for a butter bagle and you charge me for a cream cheese bagle and give me a cream cheese bagle you still need to give me a butter bagle. Itās not my fault you rang up the order wrong and gave me the improper order. Any manager that actually had any management skill would of made this right for the customer instead of sticking it to them even though it was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLeaving a review to say that I used to come here pretty often and even recommend this place to many friends and family that was until today. Me and my friend went and ordered two sandwiches from them when we sat down to eat them there was a long curly hair sticking right out of her sandwich, this made me curious about mine and i opened it up to find a hair inside of mine. we wrapped our food back up and took them right back inside, the entire sandwiches no bites taken or anything. When we spoke to the lady at the counter and then the owner he told us one to show him where the hair was (after they took apart the sandwiches on the work station) and when we couldnāt āproveā to him we found a hair he said āI can make you a new sandwich but i canāt give you your money back.ā Well obviously after we both found hairs and we watched them take apart the hairy sandwiches on the work station our appetites were GONE so no we donāt want another sandwich. And after the workers tried to argue us down and make us prove to them we found hair i didnāt really want to have anything to do with them ever again. So we left no sandwiches no...
