A friend recommended the seafood place down the street Papadeaux. As I was getting closer, I was thinking this place is a little too much for me to eat. It’s just me passing through Atlanta. found this place and was intrigued. It did not disappoint. 10/10. I’m from an island so I’m used to fresh food with lots of bright flavors. And this place hit the nail on the head. I had no idea what to expect. I ended up getting the zupatacon with sweet plantains pork with some queso and salsa and oh my God it was a massive sandwich. There were moments throughout the sandwich I had to stop and declare this is amazing. The plantains were mashed into a sandwich like bread with the queso and the pork was just really flavorful. When I’m ordering things, I always pay attention to sandwiches because a lot of places will try to compensate the amount by using large amounts of bread. Not here. I will always visit this place when I come to Atlanta. And the empanadas amazing! The crust was sweet, cooked perfectly. I had the ground beef and chicken. Amazing. I go out of my way to small specialty shops, and this is the cream of the crop. It’s the best food I’ve had in a long time and I will not forget it. If you are in the area and you are a fan of bright, bold flavors, and great food, this...

Authentic Venezuelan Flavors & Outstanding Service!
ZUAREPA in Lawrenceville is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the incredible aroma of freshly made arepas. The food is authentic, flavorful, and made with love—you can taste the quality in every bite.
I tried the Pabellón Arepa, and it was hands-down the best I’ve had—perfectly crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with delicious shredded beef, black beans, plantains, and cheese. The tequeños were golden, crispy, and addictive, and the guasacaca sauce took everything to another level.
Service was fast, friendly, and welcoming—the staff truly makes you feel like family. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and has a cozy atmosphere. If you’re looking for an authentic Venezuelan experience, this is THE place to go!
Highly recommend ZUAREPA—I’ll...
Read moreThis was a very disappointing experience. I placed a to-go order and when I got home, I realized my patacón was missing. Checking the bag is one thing, but it is the staff’s responsibility to make sure orders are complete. The woman who handed me my food was too busy gossiping about another coworker to pay attention to her actual job, and it showed.
When I noticed the mistake, I tried calling before heading back in person, but no one would answer the phone. On the rare occasion the line was picked up, it was hung up immediately. That level of carelessness and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. If employees can’t stay focused on customers and provide the basics — like packing the food that was paid for — it reflects poorly on the entire...
