(BEWARE FRAUDULENT MENU AND RESTAURANT, purposely misleading secret pricing scheme with mediocre extremely overpriced food) THE HALF TRUTH should be the name of this half shell location.. Ordered the platter which was priced at 15 and was asked my fish option which I asked which options were available and I chose red fish (which was not listed on the menu) after I was given my ticket I was charged 15 dollars for the platter and then 15 dollars for the red fish which was supposed to be built into the price of the platter itself (hints to it asking for your fish option)… I brought this up to the waitress which told me this was a VERY common misconception and that she would get the GM.. the GM walked over and told me that it is what it is and that a lot of people get confused about it and that they have been thinking about changing this misleading menu strategy but obviously this will not be changed because they are able to double their menu prices without the customer knowing until it’s too late. Food was okay but not worth the price or the extremely poor management.. very disappointing. Extremely shady strategy which is hoping on a customer not inspecting their ticket before paying.. doubling a entrees price secretly and being aware of the problem without fixing the menu is a prime example of fraud and a extra 15 dollars is not a big deal but when every customer entering the restaurant is getting charged double after the fact this misleading menu generates a lot of extra revenue.. my buddy across from me ordered the fish tacos which were only priced at 14 for 2 and received his ticket where the tacos were actually 28 after he picked his fish option (red fish).. he was...
Read moreThe food was okay, but not great where we want to go back. The side portions that the tabled orderd were of generous size. The menu was hard to understand. Our table of 4 was trying to figure it out, because we had different interpretations. When we asked the server, they looked uncomfortable telling us. Made you afraid to order anything, because of not knowing prices before ordering. It would be great if they had the "catch of the day" and "mrk. price" selections and additional cost printed out, so the server could leave at each table and pick-up when order is taken. I ordered the Capreese Salad that had shrimp and crap on top for $16. It was 2 tomato slices, 2 mozzarella slices, with a small amount of cut up shrimp and crab leg. My guess would be one of each. It also had balsamic sauce drizzled on it. Presentation was nice. As soon as I got home, I had to eat, because it is not a meal. The...
Read moreI’ve been to the forest hill location twice now. The first time with a coworker for lunch and I ordered the stuffed shrimp. It was literally 4 small shrimp with some weird filling inside of them. It was over $20 - needless to say, it wasn’t worth it. The second time I went with some family and the menu was really weird and hard to understand. They don’t have friend shrimp like at the east Memphis location on the menu or the cheese dip? I asked our waitress who was really sweet and she said you can order fried shrimp for $3 dollars a piece. The food is okay but nothing like the East Memphis location which is extremely disappointing because that location is amazing. The food was decent but not worth the price at all and it was tiny portions. Hoping they get things fixed here fast or they won’t be around long at...
