3 for $ 10.00 is a good deal. I only go out to eat, if there specials, discounts, portion, nothing else matter. Sooo my friends, Chili's isnt for for everyone and Chili's, the last few days has been good for me. I ordered the same things. The last few days I have been to the locations at Crismon and Baseline Rd, Power Rd and the Freeway US 60 and today I visited the location at 3917 S. Gilbert Rd. Things didn't start off like I expected. All Chili's are not the same. People do different things at each resturants. Soooo the lady sat me down at my table I told her what i like to have to drink. I walked to the restrooms. I am handicap. On a walker. So the path to the restroom is a chore. I don't expect people to make room for me. People most people don't care about the handicap. On my way to the restroom, there was a waiter standing in the path to the restroom, with another waitress, I said excuse me. The waitress responded fast, and stepped aside, I said thxs. the bald waiter didn't.. he didn't budge. So I got back to my table, the host didn't get my drinks l requested, the other hostess helped out. I was a little bit disappointed, she didn't even say it wasn't her job, not sayin your server be right with me. So I have worked in the restaurant some time ago. Things change I might been a little impatient with the slow service, how i was handled. I asked her why didnt you tell me that befor l went to the bathroom, really no answer. I said the F word in general. I didn't get the waiteres name, the bald headed, one. He is a firecracker, head strong, bully, defensive. I would never want him as my waiter. He acted liked he wanted to fight me, l was ready. I asked for the manager. Vince, the manager, came out. Awesome manager, he aucally listen to my part of my sisul. We converse back and forth as professionals. He understood sorta. Both sides of each stories. Instead blowing me off as some places to because. They just don't care, to busy or my table wasn't big enough for a huge profit. So Vince, had Hanah, another waitress helped me. Service was good. food was good. And I did appligise for me letting the F word slip out. I asked to have the hostess to come over for me to appligise, she wouldn't, even though I did at first. No more details is need. Vince handled the situation very well as a professional. Will l go back to this place anytime soon? Maybe in the future. The hostess that I slipped out the F word to,supposely was in the back crying. She didn't want to come to my table to accept my appligise. Just sayin, it's ok. I am sure she knows I didn't yell at her, I am sure around her friends, family she has heard worst cuse...
Read morePreviously we used to be very satisfied at this Chili's location. Things were quite different at our last visit with a new manager. I tried to contact corporate and used their web form, but it has been 7 days and we have received no response, so I decided to share my experience here.
My fiance & I joined Weight Watchers two months ago and the Two For $20 Margarita Chicken with a cup of chili/soup or small salad (instead of appetizer) was recommended. On 2 previous visits to this location, the waiters were friendly & easily accommodated our diet, giving us a single side salad or cup of chili instead of the hi-calorie appetizer options. They said they actually saved money on us as a cup of soup/salad or chili costs them nothing and are less expensive than the appetizers. On May 30, a new waitress had us speak to the new manager Andrea, who flatly said NO. She said there was "nothing she could do & Chili's never allows changes like we claimed." She claimed that "the computer won't let her do it," even as manager. This sounded very fishy. Andrea called my honesty into question regarding having it easily done the 2 last times I went there, so I showed her a receipt from the last visit, & instead of accommodating one-time and explaining a new policy or apologizing, she only wanted the names of good waiters to "get them in trouble." Only after I asked for her full name and corporate's number, she changed her tune, and suddenly could do "something," but for an extra charge. In addition, we waited well over 15 minutes for our drink order, and were then asked what we wanted to drink after already placing a drink order the moment we sat down. Whether this is a new policy or new enforcement, this manager did everything to drive our business away. She did nothing to keep us there or make our experience pleasant. We left without ordering dinner, and I honestly believe she, being new to this location, will drive away long time customers.
UPDATE: I received multiple calls yesterday and today from a corporate/regional manager who said what I experienced should never had happened, has given additional training to the manager, and without me asking, offered us a dinner on them. This is only the 2nd time I've ever filed a "complaint" with a company, but I'm happy they responded the way they did and I hope they continue accommodating small requests like this. More importantly, how a manager treats their customers is key to a thriving business. So for all you Weight Watchers out there, Chili's is supposed to accommodate a small request like changing an appetizer to a salad /etc, even without speaking...
Read moreLet me start off by saying not every experience I’ve had at this establishment has been bad, with that said I’ve had some terrible experiences at this location. Tonight’s takes the cake however! At first it was business as usually, sat down, placed order. This is where everything turns to garbage. The meal was brought out by a runner, placed on the table, then the runner walks away. My wife ordered Cajun pasta with shrimp. I ordered mango chicken with rice and broccoli. My wife’s pasta is so undercooked when you take a bite you can hear and feel the pasta crunch. Not just one piece or one side, the entire dish. My rice was severely over cooked and broccoli severely undercooked almost raw. We patiently wait for our waiter to return, at minimum re fire my wife’s pasta. I attempt to flag him down, I even try to flag another waiter down. Meanwhile the table next to us is patiently waiting for someone to bring them a bill so they may pay in leave. Finally after about 10minutes I see the manager on the other side of the restaurant. I look at my wife, ask her if she’s ready to go and walked away from the table. I approach the manager, who seemed distraught. I introduce myself and explain my complaint. “We’ve waited 10 minutes for our waiter to arrive, as my wife’s pasta is near raw.” I’ve attempted to flag down multiple staff members who apparently have blinders on! Also this isn’t my encounter with this very issue at this very same location. He informs me that half the kitchen staff has just walked out. I then ask what does this have to do with wait staff? I can see them standing hovering in the kitchen! He then asked me what I’d like for him to do? He pulls out a stack of gift card in an attempt to bribe me. I refused the offer, then pointed to the table with the guest still waiting to receive their bill. Explained to him they have been waiting about as long as I have for wait staff. They would like to pay for the meal and leave. I told the manager this will be the last time I will be visiting this establishment. As this is on going issue at this establishment while this particular...
