Where to start? We live in an area that doesn't really have a choice for delivery and so we chose Grace Garden over China Pearl. BAD choice.
To start, the girl that answered the phone was not very pleasant. She was impatient with me after I asked a couple of questions and definitely wanted to end the call asap. I ordered a Chicken with Mixed Vegetables, a Triple Delight, Crab Rangoons, Donuts, and chicken nuggets and fries for a little one.
It took over 55 minutes for us to get our food. Upon opening the food I knew something was up. Nothing looked fresh, it smelled funky and it was...COLD. The nuggets were just microwave nuggets (I thought they'd be more like sweet and sour chicken nuggets without the sauce), the fries were soppy wet, the donuts were burnt AND soggy (I'm used to crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside), the chicken and mixed vegetables had horrible flavor and the vegetables tasted rotten. The Triple Delight was ok except for the beef which tasted grinded and then patted into a strip and I had gristle in mine. I literally could not finish my meal. The crab rangoons were also mushy and not crunchy whatsoever.
Honestly, I would not be surprised if the delivery kid got the order and then went to smoke a bowl or go to a friends house before delivering it to us. That or they just let our stuff sit under a hot lamp. I never thought you could really mess up Chinese food but this was proof that you actually can. That food was obviously made LONG before it ever made it to us.
I would never recommend this place to anyone and I will never, EVER be returning as a...
Read moreFirst time going here, the lady taking our order was rushing the heck out of us, we were only there for 30 seconds and she's kept asking us what do we want! As a business owner, I tried to keep positive, so asked her can you please wait we want to look over the menu, instead of saying okay and walk away she proceeded to ask do we want chicken, do we want beef, do we want seafood blah blah, we took a 3 second look at the menu. I was ready to tell my kids, lets roll but they wanted to try it so they just settled for their usual dish. What got me tee'd off was I know how the Clover and Square Point of Purchase tablet work because I've sold them and service them. As soon as we ordered she spins the screen around after swiping for the HIGHEST TIPPING AMOUNTS to show first! You want to lose my business try that on customers, they'll never go back. While standing there I swiped back to the other screen, she was totally surprised and then I open the menu so you can see the entire charge. Then I just looked, smiled and gave her 15%. The food is cafeteria level bland, my kids beef was burnt tasting and no flavor. The swiping of the Square or Clover POS screen to the highest tipping menu, instead of letting the customer choose or ask is there a higher tip screen? will get you ZERO business from me or my associates ever. This is a bad business practice and companies have no idea how much business they are losing doing this silly ploy. The food also would not have me go back. I tip regardless if you give me good service or not, if the service and food is horrible, then don't expect...
Read moreNO MSG!!! Great Chef, uses real food ingredients with herbs & spices for excellent flavor instead of man made chemical enhancements. We got there at the worst time of day and did not suffer long wait time. A young lady took our orders with add on's and modifications without needing to write it down. Large portions came out as the entrees were ready. On a good day I might have been able to clean my plate. I clean my plate often at panda express. Being somewhat of a rice connoisseur, I was impressed with the brown rice. My next visit I will save some of my rice to melt butter and pour honey over it for one of my favorite simple desserts. Nice and fluffy. My wife's Kung Pao was excellent as was my sweet & sour pork with added veggies. Everything was hot and freshly cooked. Can't wait to try a different entree, maybe a spicy combination plate to counter my Hatch "chili" itch. They are more set up for carry out, but I am not complaining, the three 4-adult size booths and one two person table (what we used) reminded me of the old Chat 'N Chew in Shiprock, New Mexico. Another mom and pop excellent eating establishment. I was impressed as they worked to meet my requests. I recommend calling in your order and take it home for a...
