I grew up going to Mexico to eat tacos in Tijuana, and I must say that these are very authentic Tijuana style street tacos. The first time I tried these tacos, it immediately brought back memories of the flavors and experience of eating my first street tacos in Tijuana. Every time I’ve been here the place is busy. My favorite thing here is probably there Vampiros. A vampiro is a tostada shell with some cheese melted on it, and then taco meat placed on top of it with onions, cilantro and salsa on top. It taste like a good street taco with some crunch in it. So good! You might want to also try another Tijuana favorite here, the Mulita. It’s a street taco turned into a sandwich. Carne Asada or al Pastor, melted cheese, onions, cilantro, and salsa between two corn tortillas. Also, very good and very filling! Their quesadillas are also very tasty here. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Some of my favorite items are: Carne Asada or Al Pastor Vampiro ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Carne Asada street taco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Al Pastor street taco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Carne Asada or Al Pastor Mulita ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My guide on how I use the 5 star system: ⭐️ = Not good ⭐️⭐️ = Not terrible, but would not get again ⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Solid, but I’d try something else before this again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Really liked it! You should try this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = Loved it! Must try I’ll make adjustments to my ratings after subsequent visits. If you see a .3 or .7 it means: .3 = Wasn’t as good the 2nd or last time I tried it .7 = This was better the 2nd or last time I tried it.

For Friday night family night we went to Tacos Tijuana. The location in Mesa just opened and I was excited because as an avid taco consumer, I have been hearing about them. We entered their little shop on Greenfield at about 6pm and it was already pretty busy. People we’re ordering to-go and to eat there. We got in line. I noticed that they were making their tortillas by hand which is always a great sign. The menu only has a few item which I love. Keep it simple. We ordered 2 carne asada on corn and 2 on flour with everything. A vampiro and a quesadilla with carne for the boy, Riancito. They came in about 10-15 minutes and the result was amazing. The carne was tender, fresh just salty enough. The hand made corn tortillas were my favorite although I generally like flour. They were thick but light and a good taste. The flour tortillas were thin and soft but strong enough to contain all the ingredients. The vampiro was crunchy and delicious. Although full, I had to go back for another round. I tried the Al Pastor and it was seasoned so deliciously. I could taste the cinnamon and yerbas. I would recommend this place. 5 stars. We will be returning for sure.

First and last time here. I'm not usually someone to complain when it comes to poor service but this was bad. Walked in and the cashier whose name is Vale just stood there and stared at us. Didn't say hello or even smile. There was one person who ordered in front of me and one family waiting for their food and it took 20 minutes for us to get 6 tacos. THE MEAT IS ALREADY COOKED!!! HOW HARD IS IT TO MAKE SOME TACOS WITH EVERYTHING ALREADY READY FOR YOU?!? Mind you they had at least 4 or 5 people working. Lastly, my mom expressed to Vale that she's very allergic to guacamole and asked for them not to put it on the tacos. We ordered to go and they decided it was a good idea to put them in the same container. I called as soon as I opened the box to look at them. Spoke to Wendy and all she did was apologize. She didn't offer to fix the what they did or give me my money back. All she could say was "I've told them and we don't usually do that." I don't care what usually happens. It didn't happen this time the right way so fix the mistake. Nothing. The food wasn't even good. Very dry. Will NEVER come back here and will tell everyone I know to stay away from horrid service and food.

First time at the Mesa location, what can I say. This place is beyond horrible, especially with so many great taco places in the valley. I rarely leave a bad review, actually this is my first one. The person taking my order first if all did not ask me if I wanted corn or flour tortillas for my tacos. Then when I told them that I wanted flour, she argued with me and told me that she repeated the order to me. The beans, were so bad I could not eat them. Rosa Rita can beans are levels above these poor things served in a foam plate. I get that we have a shortage of employees and we need to be understanding. But when I spend $40 for 3 people I should get at least good food. I do wish them the best and I hope that this review helps them improve because I do wish them the best, but they need to step up their game.

The food is usually delicious, but there to-go system is frustrating and their workers are just plain rude. My son had his hand on the counter and was tapping the counter, the "older lady" boxing the to go orders, smacked my sons hand. They also, can never get my order correct, when placing a to-go order over text message, even though, its all included in my text message. You really should go back to answering your phone, because texting is just not working for you guys. Especially, when you're ordering for a large family. Also, something is always missing, burnt or they forgot to give me, the salsa or cilantro/onions that should come on the tacos. You just can't eat tacos without salsa, onion and cilantro, it's just not the same. Attached are a few pictures, of my to-go order.

The best tacos in our area hands down. The tortillas are home made, the Al pastor is cooked on the trompo, and the price per taco is reasonable. We went on a Saturday to order to go, our order was taken right away, the staff was friendly and attentive. There is an extended wait time after placing your order but it’s due to the tacos made to order. You can see the chefs hand making the tortillas, slicing the Al pastor finishing up on the grill to get that char flavor, and then preparing them with their guacamole salsa. The hot salsa is absolutely delicious and complements the taco. However it is HOT so beware. Definitely one of our favorite places in town for tacos, worth the wait!
