Ceviche 101 — Restaurant in Glendale

A unique and delicious place to try. This place has been on our radar to try for a bit. We try to support small businesses and avoid chains. We also love to try new cuisine and dining experience. We finally got in! We got some tacos, campecheno ceviche and smoked tuna fries on our first visit. They accommodated my avocado allergy very nicely. The food was amazing. Every dish. Full of flavor, generous servings (be prepared to bring food home). My shrimp taco was crispy and fresh. My husband loved his ceviche. We both really enjoyed the smoke tuna fries- think carne asada fries with shredded smoked tuna on top. Eat with a fork and so delicious. A craveable item for sure. Jose was our server (and owner?)- he was so friendly and helpful. The other staff members were all also warm and accommodating. We raved about their house made salsa negra (which is truly amazing) to Jose and he brought us some to bring home- on the house! There are several other items we want to try- so we will...

I was going to a rolling stones concert and wanted to grab a bite to eat before the show. We were driving around Debating on where we should eat and we stumbled upon This hidden gem. First Bianca and Karla Asked if this was our first time and where were you're going. I told them we wanted something light but delicious before the concert. They made a couple of suggestions and I went with the classic shrimp todtada and fries. They suggested a Mexican red beer and everything was amazing. We were only able to stay for a short time because we were running late to the concert. But in the short time that I was there, I was impressed.The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. I can't wait to go back to try something else on the menu. Went to register and order a Large shrimp cocktail at 3:01pm. They were not busy. Another customer comes in and gets his food before me when my food was already 10 min standing in the kitchen window. There was 4 employees talking by the bar and food sitting waiting to be bagged and handed out. The cashier thought it was more important to go and listen to the conversation than bagging my food. While waiting I noticed that a small shrimp cocktail (who was next to my “Large” shrimp cocktail has the same amount as the large cup. All they do is add more liquid. They charge you $5 extra for about 3 oz of liquid. Really!? And hardly any cucumbers in it. I had to tell the girl that the shrimp cocktail was mine so she can bag it and give it to me.
