Do yourself a favor and go to their sister property instead…Townplace Suites across the street. We ended up going there because we could no longer handle this place. The only redeeming thing about the rooms is the comfortable beds. And the location. Walking distance to some major attractions. Our room was not clean. There were stains on the pillows and mold in the shower, as evidenced by the pictures below. We also had the experience of our door not working correctly. At one point, the door would not lock correctly and we had to move our stuff to my in laws room down the hall to make sure it didn’t get stolen. Our door was nonfunctioning for over 24 hours. They didn’t have any open rooms so they couldn’t switch us. They finally tried to move us to a different room but I demanded to stay at their sister property (which was $100 per night less mind you) and it was SO much better. I wonder if they are under the same management. I would imagine they are not. The staff was rude. The pool was unsafe to swim in (picture below) as it was cloudy and green. They kept telling us it was safe to swim in but there was no way I was putting my daughter in that water. Having a decent pool was important since we were in 110 degree weather. I was so disappointed. There were no lights near the pool or in the pool at night. The pool bathroom has a broken faucet with ants coming out of it. Oh and the clincher..I asked if they’d charge me a cancellation fee if I went to their sister property since my door wasn’t working for 24 hours and they said no. I booked at the sister property and went to cancel the remainder of my stay and they renigged and said there would be a cancellation fee. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they said there wasn’t one and they couldn’t call one. I ended up getting my cancellation fee waived after I finally got to speak to the housekeeping supervisor, Sheryl, which I appreciated. I was just ready to be done with this place. I will never stay there again nor will I recommend anyone does. This is definitely not something I’ve come to expect from a...
Read moreI will never stay at this hotel again and do not recommend it for anyone else for several reasons. First, there is only one person working and many times they are hard to find. Second and most importantly, I had an awful and SCARY experience where a STRANGER walked into my room at 1am!!!! I woke up when the door slammed and he said, "sorry, I don't know why my key worked." I called downstairs and they came up and talked to my next door neighbor who was the one who came in and tried his key. Apparently, it now didn't work, but do you think I got any sleep? NO! I never heard from a manager even though daily I asked the employees until I got the manager's email 4 days later when I checked out and I HAD TO EMAIL HER for her to respond. Her response was that the computer shows my door wasn't shut completely from 9pm-1am, so there is nothing they will do. My door must've not slammed completely shut, but it was not OPEN. Instead of trying to offer me something out of management courtesy for my experience and to get me to want to come back, she basically just blew me off and said she will work on training her staff to handle things like this in the future. Obviously, she does not care about customer service, client experience or repeat business. I told her I would call Corporate and write a review and basically she told me to go ahead and do it. I am a manager in another industry and would never treat a client that way.
There's no microwave in the room. They have a weird half wall by the shower with ZERO privacy, and then have INSTALLED A GIANT MIRROR to allow the people in the bedroom to view the the shower. We had to creatively try to cover the mirror to allow some privacy. There was supposed to be hot breakfast sandwiches for purchase 7-10am, I came downstairs at 8:45am to nothing there and no one at the desk. The only way to get towels according to the employee is to bring your towels downstairs and ask them for more...really??? Parking is terrible, the parking lot was full of trash. This was my first stay in Arizona and the last one at...
Read moreWe will NEVER EVER stay here again, I booked a room online 1 month before my event, when I showed up to the hotel, it was around 10:30 p.m. and the hotel that I booked at Westgate told me they DIDN’T HAVE A ROOM FOR ME but they had one in GOODYEAR, they told me it would be a complimentary room if I decided to take it and since NO ONE CALLED ME, EMAILED ME, NOTHING! I had no choice and no time to make any other arrangements when my venue was literally in the same parking structure as the hotel because THEY decided I was staying at their other location instead of CONTACTING ME TO SEE IF I WAS OKAY WITH WHAT THEY HAD PLANNED FOR MY NIGHT!!! By the time my night had ended and I got to the hotel in Goodyear it was 2 A.M in the morning, there was no parking so I had to walk around 2 hotels to get into the entrance and it was freezing, once I was inside there was NO ONE at the front desk to check me in, I yelled hello, my partner started knocking on doors to find the employee and she came out with an attitude, I tell her my situation and gave her my paperwork and she proceeds to tell me they ONLY HOLD THE ROOM UNTIL 9 P.M!!! I FOUND OUT AT 10:30!!! I asked to talk to whoever was in charge and as soon as I did she changed her attitude immediately, she found me a room, gave me a late check in and things calmed down. Then I check my bank account and since this has occurred it’s been a week and I WAS STILL CHARGED by the hotel! So I called the hotel in Westgate to see why I haven’t gotten my refund and the girl who originally told me I didn’t have a room was the girl who answered the phone and she told me there was nothing she could do and to call back tomorrow. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! After the inconvenience this hotel has caused me I will NEVER GO BACK and I will tell everyone how horrible, disorganized and unprofessional my experience was at the Aloft hotel. If I could leave 0...
