Where do I start? My Fiancée, Son, Nana, and I usually almost always enjoy our experience with Red Robin, and we've been to MANY throughout the state of Arizona, but this location? It's was BY FAR the worst experience we've ever had. Let's start off with our waiter (who was actually the bartender working tables). He was very nonchalant and did not seem to care about his job whatsoever. It took 10 minutes at a time just to either get a refill or more fries because he kept forgetting everything. He seemed in a hurry to gather our order without even double-checking to make sure everything was correct before he left. I would have understood if they were busy, but there was a handful of people there. If that. Then there's management. This woman KNEW we were agitated with having to constantly wait and did nothing to correct the issue. Instead, she chose to sit with ALL of the other male workers (who could have been helping with tables) and sat back and just watched the dumpster fire that was going on in front of her, and then when I vocally expressed my frustrations, proceeded to ignore us even further. My burger wasn't even prepared properly (which I've gotten multiple times at other locations and I know how it's made) then our waiter proceeds to tell me I'm wrong and wants to do nothing to correct it. Same with the manager. Our son also has celiac disease, and rarely gets to get out and enjoy a meal that he's actually looking forward to, and gets a handful of fries at time (which are bottomless by the way) and has to wait 10 minutes or more at a time for new ones to arrive. I've never seen a staff that collectively didn't care about their guest in all my life. I can promise we will never go to this location again, and I suggest you do the same. Perhaps it would be a good idea for an entire revamp when it comes to the staff. Actually. No. Keep the hostess, because she was the ONLY one who actually cared and brought us a to go bag for all the food the "waiter" brought us. Along with lids, cups, and lids for the sauces that he conveniently "forgot," the food was otherwise good, and that was their only saving grace. Save yourself the headache, and go to literally any other Red Robin in the Glendale/Avondale/Phoenix area. You'll...
Read morePlace was dead at 7:30 on a Friday night. It took 10 minutes after we were seated to be greeted by staff who “apologized for the mix up.” Seated right next to the door of the kitchen so we could hear the staff all night. Plenty of tables available. The table tablet didn’t work to order appetizers so by the time the waiter arrived we just ordered all together. This was the last time we saw our waiter all night until the end of our meal. We ordered a root beer float by asking the waitress who delivered our food who then brought out a plain root beer and left it on the table for about 10 minutes, no ice cream. I then flagged down our initial waiter and told him to just cancel the root beer float. He told me that the reason they don’t put ice cream in the root beer is due to customer complaints, which we thought was bizarre for a root beer float. They were going to bring out a soft serve bowl of ice cream for it but never did, again, it was weird. We always receive one made the proper way at the RR in Queen Creek. Food was good when it arrived and we were seated right away, but we could see why this place was empty on a Friday night. Oh and forget about th bottomless frys. Since our waiter never came back the entire night for drink refills or frys we never received them either. I hate giving out 1 star reviews, but this was absolutely terrible. Management, this is on you. Your staff is either not trained fully, or they are overworked. We love RR and only ate here because we drove out here to attend Fear Farm. So glad this isn’t our local RR, it was a poor representation...
Read moreReview for Red Robin – Glendale Avenue, Arizona
I recently visited Red Robin on Glendale Avenue, and while the restaurant had the familiar atmosphere you would expect from the chain, my dining experience left a lot to be desired.
I ordered a bacon burger with steak fries and specifically requested the fries to be extra crispy. Unfortunately, when my meal arrived, the fries were soggy, which really took away from the enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, I ordered the fried pickles, but they were overwhelmingly salty, making them almost inedible. I managed to eat only about five or six before giving up on the order entirely.
It seems like the kitchen staff might benefit from a little extra training to ensure consistency in food quality. Compared to other Red Robin locations I’ve visited, this one didn’t quite meet the standard of excellence I’ve come to expect from their menu.
That being said, the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant were commendable. The storefront was well-maintained, the dining area—including booths and tables—was clean and welcoming, and the restrooms were in good condition. The parking lot was also well-kept.
Overall, while the service and cleanliness were satisfactory, the food quality was disappointing. I hope this location can improve its kitchen consistency to provide the great food Red Robin...
